Flag mount for jetski
Fabbed up a flag mount for my older ski. Trying to see what people think. Is the fiberglass going to have problems with the extra pulling? Anyone else seeing potential problems with this setup? Overall I’m just not sure if it will handle the forces it’s going to come across. Tried to use ai to give me a better idea of the forces at play. Didn’t give me a clear picture. The mount is attached using two studs I welded to it. Any feedback would be great, except for saying that my welds are shit.

Looks like a great way to get a flag mount up your a$$ when you hit a wave wrong.

That's a great way to get yourself impaled.

The flag pole will not be that short. That was just to demonstrate how the flag goes through the grab handle

Even still, it's a big metal rod directly behind you, on a vehicle explicitly designed for you to fall off of.

I get your point. Generally you not falling off backwards. I can see that maybe there’s some slight risk, but I’d take that if I could get a flag

Is the flag pole resting on the grab handle? If not, it seems like the mount is going to be subject to a shitload of torque...

It’s not resting on the grab handle. Wanted it to just go straight through the gap. I agree there going to be extra force, it’s just how much is too much for it to handle

Looks good and ski looks like a 2008 or 9 RXTX. Had one of those and should have kept it. They don’t make them like that anymore.

Like the Sunny Mac bicycle.
Nice welds, be careful as others have said and maybe brace it with solid item against grab handle.

Million to one shot doc, million to one. I am always worried I'm going to hit my rooster tail if I lean back too far...this would have me very concerned. Quality looks great though, is this for a full size flag?
