Question AppleCare One iPad Pro M2
So I understand that you can add old devices not more than 4 years to AppleCare one family. I have an iPad Pro M2. It was released on October 18th, 2022. But I bought it months after that.
Since it will be a 4 year old device this coming October 18th, does the date of eligibility for the AppleCare one family, the release date of the product or the purchase date?
I am planning to buy AppleCare one family just to add that iPad pro m2 so I wanna know if it still eligible.
Thanks.

It’s 4 years from the date of purchase, not the product release date. From what I remember it will show you what devices are eligible when you click through the prompts before you complete the purchase.

It only shows my devices who currently has applecare plus and not showing the ipad pro m2. My wife's iphone 16 pro max which is 2 years old is not even showing as eligible.

My iPad m2 pro auto added right to Apple care one no problem. Even added my m2 MacBook Air. Weirdly, It even added my older Apple TV 4K gen 2, one I bought off marketplace. Right now I have about 20 devices on my AppleCare one account once you add up all my family devices.

Good to know. I was planning to add AppleCare one family together when my wife upgrades her iphone 16 pro max to duo. I guess I'll do it now. I got the OG apple tv. Lets see if it will be included. Just for fun haha.

just to add up some question, what will happen to your current devices that has applecare plus prior from adding applecareone family? Did you received some type of credit?

Just try and add it and cancel before you have to pay
