I mean, with those datacentres going to the lead cloud over the weekend I did notice that a lot of posts I expected to blow up with the usual anti-immigrant sentiment, did not.

The retired meteorologists I read daily didnt have every comment calling climate change fake. Its been years since the comments were so free from denialism

You know, this all just highlights how fucking scary these bot farms really are and the fact that specifically those data centres were retired with extreme prejudice in the location that they were that much worse!

That is one that I expected to reach the usual 200-300 responses in under an hour but it is only at 77 after several days. There is a post about 'newcomer' rental between Vancouver and Halifax that I would say normally would have a huge response, and only 14 right now.

And if you check the slavery post it seems limited to like three posters that have jumped up that thread count. None of the usual one-liners from accounts that have history turned off, and are either new or only two to three years old.

There was a short story I read a while ago about the apocolypse. The only thing still running were bots on the internet within data centers that ran off generators waiting for the power to cut off. The entire world dead, and the internet was still flooded with traffic from bots posting and spamming non-existant humans.

Some days I wish I was the haiku bot, no responsibilities other than spotting 5-7-5 patterns in random Reddit comments. Sometimes beautiful, sometimes nonsense, otherwise completely innocuous.
