Moving/Visiting Weekly /r/Tulsa Megathread

Are you moving to Tulsa? Just visiting or passing through? Want to know where to live, eat, hang out, have fun, or bury the bodies? This is the place to ask.

This will be a weekly megathread that evolves over time. As members of r/Tulsa make suggestions or answer questions that come up a lot, we may add those items to the body of the post for easy reference. But for right now this is a place to ask any questions you may have about moving to or visiting Tulsa, OK, where our motto is "We're more than just OK, we're living the dream."

General What closed Tulsa restaurant do you miss the most?

What are some Tulsa restaurants that have closed over the years that you wish would come back?
I randomly started thinking about Brothers Pizza, Rex’s Chicken, Noodles & Company, and Camille’s Sidewalk Cafe, and now I’m wondering what other places I’ve completely forgotten about.

Anyone playing or plan to at full release?

I'm playing the beta on my steam deck and figured I'd see if there was a local guild/group before I just hop into a random guild. I haven't played retail/classic in years and don't have a PC anymore. So far the beta works great on steam deck, I do have a keyboard and headset that both work as well for communication.

I play horde, haven't decided on pve or pvp yet.

I also have 2 extra wow forever launch keys if anyone wants them. They just allow you to play wow forever at launch on November 4th without having to purchase a subscription/wow time, no beta or early access and they expire November 11th. Feel free to DM me if interested.

Cute Ruger is still searching for his people!!
This boy really is the SWEETEST. He’s currently at Oklahoma Ruff Refuge and LOVES people. He’s dog & cat friendly, I’ve also seen him around kids and he did great. His only vice is barking in the crate if he’s in the room alone, but he eventually settles. If the crate is in your room at night he sleeps through the night like a baby 😓

Ready to be adopted! ā¤ļø all vetted and he is fixed as well āœ‚ļø

General Fancy Jammies (and other odds and ends)

Hello all!

I am in the market for some fancy jammies. Ideally, some that are that nice, thick cotton and are long sleeved with pants, but as long as they’re cozy and fancy, I won’t complain. Where do you guys get your fancy jammies?

I’m also wanting to get some face masks and stuff, but would rather shop local than go to ulta or something, so if you have any recs for that, I would be super grateful as well!

Hi friends

Does anyone have any local solutions to finding a replacement glass attachment for my carta? I broke mine this morning and would like to find something for when I get off work so I can avoid shipping times.

Thanks in advance

**located near Tulsa, OK**
Cute little boy looking for a home, preferably with:

-A female owner, even better if she lives alone

-someone who doesn’t mind that he’s not potty trained šŸ˜‚he doesn’t mind wearing weenie wraps!

-doesn’t mind that he is a barker, especially when someone knocks or comes in the house!

He’s a little guy probably 20ish lbs and approx. 6 years old. He’s not mine I’m just helping find him a home!
He is also fixed āœ‚ļø

Does good with other dogs and cats! Just nervous at times.

News Drummond AG lawsuit against generic drug mfg

So most pharmacies only keep 2 years of patient records and Dr's are only required to keep records for 10 years. So at most the average citizen will o'ly have 2 years of records needed. So what happens to all of the unused settlement $? Seems like a big PR stunt to me.

Question expierence with Darlington oaks/midtown flats?

hey so i’m pretty much moving to these apartments soon in tulsa but i already live in tulsa. pretty much i saw this place and between three people it’s really cheap but the reviews are throwing me off big time. i actually have a friend who lives here and i go over there sometimes its not too bad but the area is very shady. shady is honestly an understatement. once we stood outside the complex and got harassed (i’m a woman). then my friend has also been harassed by other people. overall, i don’t know what i should do. the apartments nice, but i seen a few roaches before not gonna lie. and then outside her apartment is always trashy. i would ask her but she’s only one person, id rather get more people’s expierence on living here. if you live here or have lived here, please comment to lmk what’s up. my main concerns are the roaches as well as the situation ill face with having to walk my dog

General Need mattress removed -bugs :(

Embarassing and i dont wanna type the backstory. But last night we dumped our queen mattress, box spring, and headboard and railings in the backyard after finding bed bugs again after treating for several months, and need them disposed of. Any recommendations or quotes for removal? Google just keeps showing me places that will treat it but not dispose or only the 1 business that disposes but no answer from them yet on a quote.

Tulsa Events Blue October

Hello! Mid 30s F here who would love to go the Foiled show on 10/24 but don’t know anyone here who would like to go. Thought I’d post here to see if anyone is looking for a buddy. No ticket bought yet so we’d ideally meet up (in public!) prior to book together (so no one owes or pays a near stranger money haha). No idea if this is anything but thought I’d ask into the void.

Question Best place to buy gold?

Any Tulsans who buy gold locally? Which places sell closest to spot prices? I’ve heard Costco is currently selling 5G bars new w/assay for around $700, just not sure if it’s worth getting a Costco membership for. I believe current spot prices on 5g would be about $675

General Pleasant Valley is the Best Pumpkin Patch

  1. Pleasant Valley
    22350 W 71st St S, Sand Springs, OK 74063

This place is an actual farm. You will drive down a white gravel dirt road most likely to get here. And that’s fantastic. Free to get in and walk around. Many cute places for photos. Variety of pumpkins. Hay rides, tractor rides, slides, putt putt, animals to pet. Pumpkin priced very reasonably. Store with locally stocked items including a kickass Punpkin Candy Corn mix.

  1. Carmichaels (Bixby)
    17137 S Mingo Rd, Bixby, OK 74008

Located just south of Bixby. Live animals - horses in a circle to ride. Pigs. Camels. Variety of pumpkins. Not as many cute phot opportunities but a good option for those who can’t drive far.

  1. Pumpkintown
    6060 S Garnett Rd, Tulsa, OK 74146
It costs 16 dollars to get in.
