Flight Simulator 2024 iniBuilds Global 6000

iniBuilds has shared more details/screenshots about their upcoming Global 6000 for MSFS 2024.
They're aiming for a pretty in-depth simulation, with custom vision avionics (v5.8), interconnected aircraft systems, a fully integrated weather radar and ACARS support for Hoppie, BeyondATC and SayIntentions etc…

The EFB will also let you monitor the aircraft's systems in real time (apparently).
On top of that, we're getting sounds recorded from the real jet by Echo19 (I really hope they nailed it this time), plus a walkable interactive cabin with two layouts.
They've been working with real aircraft references since they have access to an IRL Global 6000 and maintenance engineers in Dubai, so there's clearly a lot of research behind it.

I'm particularly interested to see how well they pull off the avionics and systems, textures etc… since they have way more access irl than any other aircraft that they made.

Flight Simulator 2024 Asobo won't let us disable bloom and lens flare in FS2024. So I made something...

Inspired by u/Dry_Indication_5170's awesome DLSS displays ghosting fix I decided to not wait anymore for Asobo to give us again the option to disable the bloom and lens flare effects in MSFS 2024 (these options existed in 2020).

Just like the DLSS fix, it requires ReShade 6.8+ with full add-on support. Installing is just copying two files from the zip into the game folder.

It’s in beta and tested with the Steam version, so feedback and bug reports are very welcome in the GitHub issues.

Flight Simulator 2024 A quick review of the FSS ERJ-170/175 (v1.0.2)

I've been following this project since basically the start. There are things I do like and things I don't, but now that we're on v1.0 I feel like it's time for a redo.

Here is the review I did three years ago for reference.

https://www.reddit.com/r/flightsim/comments/10ak0t0/my_honest_review_of_the_flightsim_studio_erj175/

Ratings:

Modelling: 7/10 - Last review I gave it an 8, I'm bringing it down a bit just because FS has advanced so much and the model still feels X-Plane 11 in some instances, mostly the Cabin

Textures: 6/10 - Last time it was a 7, again I'm bringing it down a bit because there are a number of places where I feel they could have done better work or have given outside artist a stab at making things better.

Systems: 7/10 - Bringing this way up from the 2 it was in my last review. Things function mostly properly for a normal point to point flight. I wouldn't do failures training with it. There are also still features on the FMS that are greyed out/inop. My biggest gripe is autopilot engagement. Engaging the autopilot or using TCS seems to snap the aircraft to the FD instead of a smooth transition. I've had issues with the Autothrottle engaging on takeoff as well. Following my company's procedures I keep getting ENG REF ECS DISAG while starting engines.

Handling: 7/10 - Improved from the original review. Points off again for the TCS and Autopilot engagement being snappy, but over all not bad. Turbulence does feel overly sensitive. I know some people were complaining of the AC not being able to maintain the magenta line during flight, this might be the cause.

Sounds: 5/10 - The interior sounds are pretty good. The exterior sounds I think are pretty bad. It sounds like if you took a combustion sound and added as much bass and treble to is as you could. Alerts need work too.

Performance: 7/10 - It performs pretty well. I still get stutters from time to time, but they aren't too bad.

EFB: 3/10 - Easily what I hate the most of the aircraft. Its clunky, not realistic, and worst of all the screen is too glossy. At certain angles it's near impossible to read what the thing says. I'm pretty sure they made it assuming you were going to use Navigraph for everything because there is no easy way to view your OFP. I kinda hope they redo the EFB, make it mount to the window and make it landscape instead of portrait.

Overall: 7/10 - Greatly improved, but still some bugs to work out. It's good, but I don't think its $60 good just yet.

Where I would price on it in its current state, $40-45.

Things I would like to see going forward:

  • Better TCS, autopilot and autothrottle engagement.
  • Better sounds for the exterior.
  • Overhaul the EFB to be more realistic.
  • Better texturing in the cabin. Remove the PTVs from the first class seats.
  • Get rid of the CAT II sticker on the center console.
  • Get rid of the aircraft information placard above the reversionary panel.

Flight Simulator 2024 Please help E170

• Upvotes

I just bought the FlightSim Studio e170 from the marketplace on MSFS24 and was really excited to give it a try. But its been a nightmare. The autopilot buttons are not even registered as buttons. You cannot click anything at all. The MCDU comes on but and u can click the buttons, but it never leaves the first page that actually pops up so you cannot use it at all. The EFB buttons for ground, etc. do not work at all. The engine will sometimes never actually start, no matter how many times i configure it correctly.

I just need help, i was really ready to fly this plane but nothing has worked.

First flight ive made on an Airbus on msfs24. The landing itself was really bad, but ive learned a lot with this flight. And thats the point of flight simming, isnt it?

Also, im pretty happy that ive managed to bought a TCA Quadrant of Airbus. Ive been using it for flying the pmdg 737 as well.

Good flights for everyone, be safe and enjoy your time

Flight Simulator 2024 I made a free fix for DLSS ghosting on glass cockpit screens in MSFS 2024 (Fenix A320, 4K DLSS Performance, before/after)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The DLSS ghosting on glass cockpits drove me crazy, especially the Fenix PFD tapes smearing in a climb. No DLSS preset fixes it (K, M and J all ghost), so I made a ReShade add-on that does.

Update 0.7.0 (out now):

  • FSR support, so it works on any GPU now, not just NVIDIA
  • VR support, tested on Quest 3 via Virtual Desktop, foveated rendering on and off
  • iniBuilds A220 (all screens), A350 and A380 fixed, including the OIS and tablets
  • Line smoothing slider in the ReShade menu, in case the screen lines look a bit jagged

Just replace the old .addon64 with the new one. It’s also on flightsim.to now.

The first 8 seconds are stock DLSS, the last 8 are with the fix. Fenix A320 at 4K, DLSS Performance (1080p internal), climbing at about 6,700 ft/min.

Watch in full quality on YouTube.

It redraws the screen content after DLSS using the sim’s own clean image, so tapes, the ND and ECAM pages stay sharp. Dirt, sun glare and night lighting are kept.

  • Tested on the Fenix A320 family, iniBuilds A220, A330, A350 and A380, the default DA62, and the PMDG 777 by people in the comments. Most glass cockpits should work.
  • Works with DLSS and FSR, on a monitor and in VR. Works with DLSS Frame Generation, tested up to 6x. No measurable FPS cost.
  • Needs DLSS or FSR selected in the sim, and ReShade with full add-on support.
  • Tested on Game Pass. Steam should work the same; let me know if you’re on Steam.
  • Coming to OptiShade: the OptiShade developer is building it into their next patch, so OptiShade users will get it out of the box

It’s a beta, so feedback is welcome. If it doesn’t work, open the ReShade menu (Home): the add-on’s tab tells you what’s wrong, and “Copy report” gives you everything for a bug report on GitHub.

FAQ

Do I need ReShade? Yes, it’s what loads the fix into the sim. You don’t need any effects, just ReShade installed with “full add-on support”.

Does it work with my ReShade presets? Yes, presets and effects work as usual on top of it.

OptiShade / OptiScaler? The OptiShade developer is building it into their next patch. With OptiScaler set to DLSS it should work; other OptiScaler modes are untested.

Does it fix prop, rotor or airframe ghosting? No, only the cockpit screens.

Performance hit? Not measurable in my testing, and people in the comments report under 1 FPS.

MSFS 2020? Only 2024 for now.

How do I check it’s working? Press Home and open the “Glass Cockpit DLSS Fix” tab, which should say “Working”. Or press Ctrl+Shift+F11 in the cockpit: every fixed screen turns green.

Free and open source (MIT). Not affiliated with Microsoft, Asobo, NVIDIA, AMD or Fenix.

Flight Simulator 2024 Current state of the CSS 737 Classics?

As the title suggests I'm thinking about getting the planes (first the subscription then perhaps one airframe) but I've heard VERY mixed reviews and feedback so far. Let's not discuss the pricing only but the product itself. I don't expect PMDG level, but if it's actually enjoyable and realistic or if it still needs a lot of work done and people should wait for the V2 release.

News I got my Winwing MCDU working with the Aerosoft A330 Neo

Thumbnail
flightsim.to
3 Upvotes

The A330 Neo has no Winwing support so I made a small program that fixes it.

It reads the MCDU pop-out and sends the text and colours to the unit, and the buttons press the keys in the aircraft. Even the orange entry boxes and arrows show up. You can minimise the pop-out afterwards and it keeps working.

Only tested on my own Captain unit in MSFS 2024, so the FO side is untried. Nothing from Aerosoft is in the download, it reads the font from your install. Free.

Pic of the unit running the A339 STATUS page is attached. If it doesn’t work for you, tell me what you see and I’ll have a look.

Sim Hardware Glass Cockpit with Tablets - Prototype

Thumbnail
youtube.com
3 Upvotes

I built a prototype of a Glass Cockpit using only Tablets. The purpose of this Simulator is to be able to load any Flight Instrument or Avionics package and show it to a pilot or enthusiast for familiarization or training. It takes advantage of the Tablet's large screen and touch features to use any of the instruments. The Simulator can also demonstrate how parameters (altitude, speed, vertical speed, GPS, etc) are displayed in two different gauge types or avionics packages can display flight parameters (airspeed, climb speed, attitude, heading, etc.) such as the G1000, the Pro Line 21 or the GTN 750.

Before I get the "that's gonna kill the FPS!!" - This is not what this was built for. Some pilots ask to see what a GTN 750 looks like, or how a Honeywell device compares to a Universal, etc. I can load up any instrument to any of the screens within seconds and immediately use it with touch capabilities. All the details of the build are in the video's description.

Since the V2 is right around the corner and there was just a sale the other day, I went in and bought the IniBuilds A350. I did 3 flights in this bird and I can say it is lovely; though the handling can feel kinda too light and the sounds are just meh.

Flight Simulator 2024 [BETA] MSFS UI Enhancer - Requesting feedback

Hi all. I've been building a free community version of my add-on for MSFS 2024 on PC that fixes some of my day-to-day annoyances with the sim's menus and adds a few small tools in flight. It's now in "public beta", and I'd love some more pilots to try it and tell me what works, what breaks and what's missing.

⚠️ This is a beta. ⚠️

It's been in daily use on my own setup, but it hasn't been run on many other PCs yet, and the in-flight tools are the newest part. Expect rough edges, and please report them.

What it does

- Aircraft favourites: a heart on every aircraft tile and a Favourites tab in the aircraft picker. They're saved with your sim profile.

- Favourite aircraft menu: pick one of your favourites straight from the Free Flight screen, without opening the aircraft picker.

- Setup panel: variant, livery (with a filter and favourite liveries) and identification right in the aircraft picker, plus quick links to Fuel & Payload and Mass & Balance.

- A tool in a corner of the screen in flight: nothing shows until you move the mouse into the corner. Choose one of:

- Flight progress: a route banner and your flight's details.

- Utilities: sim rate, active pause, time-of-day presets, and a stopwatch and countdown that run on the sim's clock.

- ATC: the sim's ATC in a compact panel that pops out when ATC calls you.

- Landing rate: after every touchdown your rate, G-load, speeds and crosswind fade in, then fade away.

- Diamond toolbar tab: the in-flight toolbar only opens when you click a small diamond at the top of the screen, instead of popping up whenever the mouse moves.

How it installs: a small configuration app finds your sim and installs UI Enhancer as a normal Community folder add-on. It doesn't change the sim's own files, and 'Remove' in the app takes it out cleanly. It works with the Microsoft Store and Steam versions on Windows 10 and 11. PC only; it's designed for mouse and keyboard.

Download: https://github.com/FS-UI-Enhancer/MSFS-UI-Enhancer-CE

What I'd really like feedback on:

  1. Did it install and work first time? Especially if you're on Steam: it's built for Steam, but most of my testing has been on the Microsoft Store version.
  2. Anything broken or odd? Menus that look wrong, something that stopped working, or a clash with another add-on you use.
  3. The in-flight corner tools: are they useful, and is anything in the way?
  4. What would you add? Which parts of the sim's interface annoy you most?

If something goes wrong, the app has a 'Copy diagnostics' button (on Home). Pasting that into a GitHub issue here https://github.com/FS-UI-Enhancer/MSFS-UI-Enhancer-CE/issues or a comment here helps me track it down fast.

Thanks for trying it, and blue skies!

UI Enhancer is an independent add-on, not made or endorsed by Microsoft or Asobo Studio. I'm the developer.

General How does Pyreegue do it?

I have installed pyreegue’s birmingham, where I haven’t flow in or out in a year or so. I also reinstalled windows and upgraded my ssd so still in the process of downloading all the scenery I got, and today I decided to load some fo UK to fly from Birmingham to Dubai with ini a380. I loaded into it to refresh my memory, and omg what a wow. Like I’ve never seen a scenery so good, and I do own a lot of them. Like everything about it is amazing, the atmosphere, the LOD of the buildings, ground clutter, markings, jetways, and the area around. And of course the interior as well. I also looked at their Edinburgh afterwards and man the quality is just unmatched. Big big respect to them, I can’t wait for palma to release. If you guys don’t own any of those sceneries, I highly highly recommend to buy them. I can’t wait to do some united or delta 757 ops to Edinburgh…

P.s. their egnx is still my fav airport in game and their best work in my humble opinion.
