Any way to add Media Controls button to Firefox windows? Zen allows to play/pause, minimise/back to tab/ close tab settings without actually visiting the tab. All chromium browsers have it, is there a way to get that feature?

Apparently my app just updated to 157.0.1(macOS 26.6.2), and all of my bookmarks, history, etc., is gone. I checked the Recover user data missing after Firefox update or reinstall, but there are only two profiles in the profiles folder and they're both clean profiles. Is there any way of recovering my old data or am I boned?

In the past, clicking on link in history plane with the CTRL key down opened them in new tab. But with the recent update, it is not working at all. I have to right-click to open pop up menu and select open in new tab. What happened to CTRL-clicking?

hi, so i was watching some random bullshit anime on some website that probably won't exist in 5 years. it's a nice site actually but every time the subtitles pop up or go away the video stretches verically slightly (weird I know) like it's making room on the video for the subtitle, so I changed it from the site's player to Firefox's native player and it works as normal, but Firefox's native player kinda sucks? I can't find any subtitle options at all, is there some kind of extension I can download or did I miss something? thanks

I'm trying to download some PDFs, but whenever I do, Firefox opens them in another tab and I can't actually download it until it's done loading, with no indicator of how long that will be. Sometimes the "download link" option works, and from my experience when it does, the PDF downloads noticably faster than it takes for the sams PDF to load in the viewer.

Every post I've seen discussing this issue only seems to give solutions for the desktop version rather than Android.

As it said in the title. Unpausing just causes the videos to play for a frame at most, before aggressively pausing back. The problem seemingly persists when any video is played, and is not just limited to Youtube. Twitter, Tiktok, and hell, even videos on Wikipedia all seem to face the same issue.

I've already turned off all my extensions including Ublock, I've already deleted my cache and browsing data, and I've reinstalled only for none of it to work.

how do i achieve the pinned website like these one that firefox update showed me? If i hit pin tab with vertical tabs it justs piles them one on top of the other not side by side.

I have experienced an out of memory error twice in the last two days. Yesterday was on my personal laptop with 16gb of ram on Ubuntu.

Today I saw it on a MacBook with 48gb of ram.

I keep countable tabs in the range of a dozen or two at max, generally email, jira and yt music.

There is an extension called Unbiased for reddit but it does not work anymore. Do you know any extension that can do the same?

So when i set up my new tab i selected news et etc but i had my vpn on in Ireland so majority of the links articles are irish

Even if i turn off vpn and refresh they remain mostly Irish

I have a lot of tabs open constantly. And it seems like about every 3 to 5 days, my firefox crashes.

When ever I restart my session, it only restores my tabs from months ago.

Is there a way to disable on a per site basis this gesture? My issue is reading pdfs on kami scrolling left on my trackpad seems to be enough to trigger the back binding and its getting really annoying.

Two user accounts on same Mac desktop. When spouse logs in to our bank, then clicks on "see credit score," a new tab opens, loads for a second but then goes blank. They have no extensions. Opening in Troubleshoot mode and resetting Firefox don't fix it. They have the same problem on their laptop, but not on their phone.

To test, I log in to the desktop with my Mac user account, log in to the bank, go to my credit score, and I see it, no problem. Log out of bank, log in again with spouse's username/password, go to credit score, and it's a blank page. Same computer, same app, same settings.

What gives?

That's it. I received a survey while using Firefox. The survey was asking about the language used for content, since I live in Germany but has setup my install in English. Then they were interested if I preferred the news and ads in English or in the local language.

I hope this is opt-out, I am not really interested on this and brings some questions about privacy

With FF on Linux (CachyOS, KDE Plasma) I'm getting issues with frame drops on videos, mainly YouTube. It mostly happens when you first play the video, it'll drop several frames causing the video to be choppy/out of sync before playing smoothly. Doesn't seem directly related to quality as it happens on videos of varying quality.

I'm using a 9070 XT for a GPU and other players work perfectly fine (e.g mpv, vlc, etc.) and Chrome doesn't drop any frames either, just FF.

I would like to register an account to make some mobility / a migration capacity possible. How certainly can someone assure me I will not lose my year of history (and preferably the few tens of tabs I have actively open) upon creating an account from the same app on my device?
