Question 12+ hour shifts, active healthcare job, any success?
Anyone who works 12+ hour shifts, how did you incorporate fasting?

i work 12s in a hospital and the first week was rough not gonna lie. what helped me most was timing my eating window to start right after my shift ends, so around 8pm to midnight. took like 2 weeks for my body to stop screaming at me around hour 10 but after that it got way easier. the key was just accepting the first days would suck and not trying to fix it with snacks

I go walk around the block on my breaks and during my lunch. Drink water. Sometimes I eat dinner when I get home. Other times I use it as an opportunity to extend my fast into the next day. The second day I feel so much better.

I was on night shift so it was easy, I ate before my shift, now I’m switching to days, so I don’t know how it’s going to go. On night shift no body cared if you ate or not, on day shift I have a feeling the food pushers are going to be in full effect, and they are the worst part because you have to defend your preference, and if you are the slightest bit overweight and the other person is not, you are automatically wrong.

I worked weekends nights, so my last meal was Friday mornings. I wouldn't eat again until Monday morning when I worked off. For me it was easy having a set schedule. Did this for a few years.

ate before my shift, took only cold herbal tea, ice water or decaf black cold brew during work. it was easier than I anticipated because of how busy I was
