First rejection letter from insurance came through- thought no problem, I qualify under 3 I bet my doctor’s office just didn’t put sufficient info. Sent proof of 4 losses and letter from physician.

Insurance rejected and sent a new list of entirely different items to qualify.

What the fresh capitalist insurance hell is this.

First rejection:

WHY THIS REQUEST WAS NOT APPROVED
From the Medical Director:
Your doctor asked for a gene test (Chromosomal Microarray). This test looks to see if there is any extra of missing genetic material (deletion or duplication). This test is needed when any of the following criteria are met: 1) The test is for a current pregnancy at a higher risk for a gene change due to the age of the mother or positive results on other tests. 2) There were certain ultrasound findings (structural anomalies). 3) There is a history of more than one pregnancy loss before 20 weeks. 4) The test is for a pregnancy loss that occurred at 20 weeks or later. We reviewed the notes we have. The notes do not show that any of the requirements have been met. As a result, this test is not medically necessary. We used Carelon Medical Benefits Management Clinical Guideline titled Chromosomal Microarray Analysis to make this decision.

Second rejection:

We were told that you have certain signs, symptoms, or health conditions (recurrent pregnancy loss). Your doctor asked for a gene test (chromosomal microarray). This test looks for extra or missing genetic material (deletion or duplication). This test is needed when: 1) You have more than one birth defect, seizures (before the age of 3), autism, delays (developmental) or learning problems (intellectual disability. 2) Also, a cause must not have been identified for these findings. 3) You have also not had other genetic tests performed for these findings. We reviewed the notes we have. The notes do not show that requirement numbers 1 and 3 have been met. As a result, this test is not medically necessary. We used Carelon Medical Benefits Management Clinical Guideline titled Chromosomal Microarray Analysis to make this decision.

"A man was sentenced to one year in jail for a high-speed crash that killed an elderly couple in Ventura County.

Neil Liam Reb, 22, of Oak Park, had pleaded guilty to causing the deaths of Maria Ramirez, 73, and Alejandro Ramirez, 77, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said.

The crash occurred on May 6, 2025, as Reb was driving his Jeep Wrangler SUV on surface streets in Newbury Park around 4 p.m.

As he approached the intersection of Via Las Brisas and Calle Del Prado, he slammed into the elderly couple’s Volkswagen Tiguan SUV.

The couple sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead. Reb only suffered minor injuries.

Investigators said Reb was driving recklessly at the time, traveling at nearly twice the posted speed limit of 45 mph.

On Aug. 28, 2026, Reb pleaded guilty to two counts of felony gross vehicular manslaughter and admitted to the special allegation that the crime was a serious felony.

Under California law, the maximum sentence allowed for the charges filed was 7 years and 4 months in state prison. At the time, prosecutors were seeking 3 years and 4 months in prison for guilty pleas to both counts before trial.

However, on Oct. 9, 2026, prosecutors said Reb was only sentenced to one year in county jail. Both prosecutors and the victim’s family had urged the court for the strongest possible sentence, expressing the family’s heartbreak over the couple’s death." - KTLA 5 News

First time posting, don't know where else to take this. Happened last night while I was laying in bed. Had it entered any lower, it would've hit me, likely in the neck.

Police said it was from a rifle. Last image is a dent it made on the opposite wall. We have no idea where it came from. Happy to be alive.

When I tell yall this guy stinks, I mean he STINKS. I had to move seats today because he smelled so bad that I was about to start dry heaving.

Now normally I wouldn’t be judgmental about it, but I found out the reason why. According to one of my friends who knows the guy, he found a spider in his sock while putting it on, and apparently it scared him so bad that he hasn’t worn socks since then, and because of that, he has developed foot fungus, which is what I’ve been smelling. I’ve had to cover my nose with my shirt every time I see him coming, that’s how bad it is. He’s been told by multiple other people that he smells bad, including the instructors, and every time, he either dismisses us, tells us he knows and doesn’t care, and/or that we’re being dramatic and need to deal with it.

Sorry, but if THAT’S the reason you stink, you’re a slob.

I don’t know how else to deal with this aside from spraying perfume or something whenever he’s around, because this is insane. I can’t focus on my work when he’s around, and even though I moved seats, I can STILL smell him. This is insane.

This is not fall weather. Fall is supposed to be nice.

Looking into the ERs near me and found these reviews. 285 reviews, from old to new, and almost every one is 1-2 stars. This is a renowned hospital. People are literally saying that there can be people dying, bleeding out, passing out, throwing up, etc. in the waiting rooms and nothing happens. America is a first-world country; how is this kind of shit happening? Some people say that they don't want universal healthcare because it will make wait times long, but clearly that's already an issue if someone with the kind of issues being reported can wait over 9 hours. My Mom went for high blood pressure (which her doctors said could be life-threatening) and waited for 12 hours with no treatment before eventually leaving. She was sat next to an old woman, whom she estimated to be in her late seventies to eighties, who had literally broken her back. The woman and her companion said that they'd been there even longer than my Mom had, and they were still waiting when she left. This is not just the UNC ER; the Duke Hospital one is rated even worse (an average of ONE STAR). Absolutely unacceptable.

I own a 2.5 acre property. Between mowing, weedwhacking, and blowing the driveway clear with my backpack blower, it takes me about 2.5-3 hours to mow my lawn. Some weekends are busy, and I dont get around to spending that time doing the maintenance. This past weekend was one such weekend. The grass wasn’t crazy, out of control overgrown but you could definitely tell I missed a week. Monday I finished up work early and thought ‘great, I can head home, be there by 2, mow the lawn and be done before dinner’. I got home to find my lawn had been cut..

Confused, I checked my ring camera and saw that at about 9:30 that morning some unknown landscapers had come to the house and cut my lawn. They parked their truck by the road so I couldn’t make out the business name (I have a 380’ driveway). So at that point I figured they had the wrong address and since I don’t know who they are, I can’t let them know about it. oh well.

Wednesday evening (yesterday) rolls around and a guy knocks on my door. He’s the owner of the landscaping company and says that his guys did in-fact, come to the wrong house. They were supposed to be at the house 3 doors down. He tells me that his guys spent about 1 hour 45 min here doing everything and that not only do I owe him $100 for his services but his zero-turn operator didn’t see a big rock I have in my front yard, ran it over, and messed up the mower blades, so I owed him an additional $80 for new blades.

I reminded him that I did not hire him, and said there’s no way in hell I’m paying him anything. I have my own $4,000 zero-turn to do my own lawn and was not about to pay someone else to do it when I have my own machine. Esp since his guys are the ones who had the wrong address. He argued that I should have stopped them if I knew they had the wrong house to which I said, how tf am I supposed to stop them when I’m at work and didn’t know they were there. Their mistake is not my problem. He said, mistake or no mistake, his services arnt free and that ‘one way or another he would get his money’. I told him to fuck off and not come back.

Thursday (today) an officer knocks on my door stating that they are here because landscaper claimed I stole from him and he wanted to press charges over ‘theft of services’ and they wanted to hear my side. I told the police the full story and they agreed that it was a civil case, not a criminal case and they would have nothing to do with it. I then told them about the vague threat of him getting his money ‘one way or another’ to which they said there’s nothing they could do because he didn’t specifically threaten to do harm or damage to me or my property. But they would have a talk with him.

At the end of the day, $180 isn’t a big deal. It’s not gonna break my budget. But his ‘fuck you, pay me’ attitude after his guys messed up really irks me. And to claim I stole from him is insane.

This movie is depicting suffering of Serbian civilians from Kozara in concrentration camps in Croatia during the genocide where Croatian and Bosniak ustashe killed over 700K Serbs, Jews and Roma.

A movie about Serbian people who suffered in Croatian ustashe concentration camps, one of the worst genocides in history was forbidden in movie festivals at Can and Berlin while in Czech Republic it was considered as great movie but they could not damage the relationship with Croatia beacuse over milion czechs are there.

Not naming the company, but this company had a lot of complaints about the ridiculous rules they had for virtual tests and even got in legal trouble for some of them a few times.

The test I took was three hours long. For context, before you start the test, the proctor:

- Does a 360 check of your room to make sure there are no people or suspicious materials in the room.

- Has you show that there is nothing on your keyboard or screen.

- Has you turn out your pockets and looks at various parts of your body and clothing to check for earpieces, recording devices, phones, notes, etc.

For additional context, the proctoring service used software that locked down your computer and required you to keep your camera and microphone on the entire time so they could see and hear everything.

Here were some of the rules:

- Once you sign in to take the test, you can't move out of view of the camera or use any electronic device while waiting for the proctor. Your computer is locked down by the proctor service. It took 45 minutes for my proctor to be ready. This meant that I sat and stared at the screen for 45 minutes and had no way of contacting support to see if there were tech issues or to find out if and when someone would show up.

Once the test starts, you can't

- Move out of view of the camera

- Look away from the screen (this was fun since I look up or to the side to think)

- Talk, whisper, mumble, or cover your mouth (have fun if you're someone who reads test questions out loud to themselves)

If you do any of these things even accidentally, the proctor fails you. If they fail you, you lose the hundreds of dollars you paid to take the test and might be permanently blocked from taking the test.

I understand the rationale for the rules on their own, but with all the security checks the proctor does beforehand, they seemed excessive. I should also add that I took a different test with a different virtual proctoring service, and while they also did the security checks and didn't let you move out of the camera view or use devices, they didn't have all the other rules.

I still don’t have all the answers.

I'm so angry not only at this fake business but at myself for being such a trusting soul. Here's my experience with this HORRIBLE place. On Tuesday, October 6th, I went for a hearing evaluation, as I needed a clear picture of how accurate my hearing is. I went through the process of questions and then the actual test. Was 'told' that I definitely needed hearing aids, even though my hearing is actually good,just a touch of tinnitus. There's no such product for tinnitus, so a hearing aid won't fix it.

The reason I chose Miracle Ear is they mailed me a promotional letter,and I figured it's free, but my insurance would have covered it anyway. They also gave out a $50.00 gift card for Walmart or Amazon. I went directly home after the test.

Here I am on Thursday. My daughter and I went to Walmart, and with the intention of using it, well imagine my shock that the cashier said it had a 0 balance. My daughter called and explained what happened, was called back and this woman Brandy, a 'professional ', told her that the card had ALREADY been used!!!

People who are reading this BEWARE!!! MIRACLE EAR is running a SCAM!!! My next call is the Attorney General, The BBB,and local news Raphael Sanchez. They tried to sell me $8999.00 hearing aids that I don't need!! Even tried to get me to take them home for a few days.....listen folks DON'T FALL VICTIM!!!!
