RJ Mitte (Walt Jr) has passed 😥

Wow, I was shocked to hear this. They are saying it was suicide. So sad. He was only 34 years old. RIP, Flynn ❤️

As someone else with cerebral palsy I am so proud of him for being great representation. I’m so sorry, RJ. Rest well, friend.

I'm glad they portrayed him as a normal teenage kid who happened to have a physical disability

Exactly, that’s what we are! Of course it was part of his character, but it wasn’t what defined him. That’s important for people who may not have disabled people in their lives to know!

He forever informed my empathy and my desire to connect with others who are different from me. Man was a legend and a superstar. ❤️

That's EXACTLY what I was just saying!

I haven't watched regular television in a long time, but the only other disabled character I could think of with a recurring role is Joe from Family Guy.

I mean, sure, there's been a few, but they're not a regular character. It's usually some whack-off "a very special episode/after school specia" where it is just about their struggle and all their differences and it ends up singling them out. They're usually badly written and I fucking hate those.

Walter jr/Flynn was just a normal, pretty cool kid who happened to have Cerebal Palsy.

I loved that!!
