RJ Mitte (Walt Jr) has passed 😥

Wow, I was shocked to hear this. They are saying it was suicide. So sad. He was only 34 years old. RIP, Flynn ❤️

I know how naive this sounds, but I follow him on insta, he seemed so happy and so active. So many plans and projects, I wouldn't have ever expected this :(

Nobody expects suicide because people never go "hey everybody, just letting you know that I'm severely depressed and this weekend I'm planning to blow my brains out". If only the signs were that obvious. It's always much more subtle, if there's even any signs at all

Agree, hence the "I know how naive this sounds" part, it's especially easy to mask depression to strangers online via a seemingly happy social media presence :/

Has that been confirmed? I hadn’t seen anything yet that stated suicide.

It’s been reported in multiple places, including TMZ (which is highly accurate in these situations)

I believe he was engaged to his long-term girlfriend? I wonder if they lived together..https://people.com/breaking-bad-star-rj-mitte-is-engaged-to-kennedy-suarez-exclusive-11830890

Thats why it’s important to check on your friends that seem happy as well!

Fiancé broke up with him is the obvious speculation. Whether it’s true or not is a different story

You figure it out, Captain Obvious

I mean he's definitely dead but this story about his suicide is just a tabloid quoting an anonymous county official. It may well be true but it feels a little early to be discussing his supposed hidden pain. Obviously some situations make the intent obvious but it could just as easily have been something accidental.

TMZ is reporting it, despite the sensationalism they actually tend to be very accurate about this stuff. They're often the first to report celebrity deaths.

They were the first to report about Kobe's death before all of the family was notified. Smh

Yeah there's a lot to criticize about TMZ. Lack of accuracy just isn't one of them, they have deep networks in police departments, hospitals, coroner's offices etc so they can get tipped off right away

I mean, just a few years ago they reported Jerry Lee Lewis’s death before it even happened, and claimed Lil’ Wayne was in a coma breathing through tubes when he had actually already been released from the hospital.

In their “zeal” for breaking stories TMZ isn’t afraid to cut corners. They could very easily have published unfounded claims about suicide, which they can just retract later on without any real consequences.

Are you saying they reported Jerry Lee Lewis’s death “before it even happened” and then it happened?!? Now that would be wild.

6

u/TheAllyCrime 6h ago

Yep. They reported Lewis died, a rep/agent for him informed TMZ that he wasn’t dead, and then three days later he actually did die.

omg. i forgot about that lol.

They aren’t impervious but for a website that posts nothing but news all day every day, a few instances out of that probably proves their track record more if anything.

Not that I’m defending what they do, it’s gross. It’s just unfortunately very accurate.

•

u/TheAllyCrime 1h ago

That’s a fair point. They do produce a lot of content.

Accurate means nothing when we're talking about human life. I lsot someone very suddenly in 2020 who was only 29 yrs old. People asking HOW immediately was the most annoying thing. It doesn't matter. Especially not right now.

As someone struggling these darker months i wish people did that for me. I do tend to push them
Away but you never know.

Man, I feel you. Currently going through a rough patch and I wish people cared. Nobody even notices.

•

u/tothehopeless1 5h ago

I wish there was a place on here to talk about that stuff openly without having hotlines thrown in your face. But same feeling here. My cats have noticed and reached out more often than the humans in my life have.

I’m sending you strength! Life is worth it. It always gets better ♥️

Hope you have a good day, a great week, and a wonderful month stranger

It's the ones that look like they're doing okay a lot of the time. Check on them anyway, you never know when a "how are you doing" will help someone. Sometimes that's all they need.

I understand and appreciate what you say, but literally nothing has officially been said about his death. All I saw after searching a few mins ago is that no details have been given and his family requests privacy.
