I've been in Austin for some time now, and I do have a few good friends, but sometimes I feel like there is this other demographic of friends I'm severely missing out on. I'm a gay man, and I came out in Austin. Most of my friends are straight and don't spend much time in gay spaces. Hence, it feels a bit like the current version of myself is left out. We watch shows like Big Brother and are wanting to get into weekly watch parties for Survivor, if you're into setting up watch parties in public or at our place or yours. We're in an open relationship, but I rarely actually take advantage of this freedom as I tend to be much more interested in mental stimulation than physical.

On a deeper level, I grew up in an emotion-shy household (I'm Nigerian - mom was a gem though in this area) and then discovered my emotional side as I grew older and came out of the closet, and so I find myself most interested in hanging out with people who are also deep thinkers and emotionally open. I'm open-minded to wellness practices, although I am not super knowledgeable about them. Never done a wellness retreat but open to it. Direct communicator, but I'm learning to soften my language at times haha. Regular gym-goer and have been since college. While I'm not necessarily looking for a gym partner, I'm open. More importantly, looking for folks who share similar passion for fitness and exercise and are fully committed to it. I also like to think I'm a fairly attractive and self-confident guy, and I enjoy being around people who feel the same way. Having friends who are clear in their intentions does help a lot.
