Political Question Why are Shane Gillis fans so sensitive?

Post image

This really pissed off a lot of his fans in another group where I posted it.

...No I think you'd have to be using "whores" in a derogatory way for it to be misogyny, and even that's a stretch. Misogyny is hatred of, aversion to, or prejudice against women. He was saying they dress scantily, and the focus of the joke was self-deprecation, not deprecating them for their attire. The fact that he says that he's not allowed to look implies that he wants to, right? So, not really disparaging. Crass for sure though.

If he had said something more like they shouldn't be at the gym because they're just whores, that would be misogyny and worthy of outrage.

I think toeing the line with this "whores" joke was the point. That and the F-bomb he let slip have made headlines, have people talking about SNL...

Why use the term whores then. Just admit you like it snd it turns you on snd move on. Christ alive the mental gymnastics to avoid admitting that

In what world is the word "whores" not derogatory? Can you hear yourself? Lol

Had the impression that 'not allowed to look' was less self-deprecation and more of his indictment on the women flaunting themselves (otherwise why call them whores?) in front of red blooded men (like himself) who ought to be able to stare at the women without being shamed.

Why would you make so many malicious assumptions 😂

It's like you want it to be more serious than it is.
