Political Question Why are Shane Gillis fans so sensitive?

Post image

This really pissed off a lot of his fans in another group where I posted it.

Not really. He's legit funny. Like, naturally funny. He's got a gift. Also he seems like a really nice guy.

I don't like Joe Rogan or really any in that manosphere but fuck Sahne is funny. He said it himself, he was grazed by the downs bullet lol he's very talented I just don't agree with all of it. Until he does more than tell a really good joke about something he shouldn't I can't really get mad about it.

If you can find the clip of Matt showing Shane his Native American ceremonial flute (432 Hz), do yourself a favour and watch it. It's truly enlightening.

Shane is probably the funniest comic today. He's extremely talented, and also, inexplicably, intelligent. He's always learning about things and telling them to his friends in humorous fashion on their little podcast. He's got a pretty outsized personality that I don't personally like. But his comedy is usually impeccable.

Gotta disagree, he just very specifically does NOT have the gift

I mean let’s not suck his dick too hard here. He has his moments but they’re fleeting and his act lacks substance mostly. Doesn’t mean he isn’t funny sometimes. But I think most ppl like things that are funny and more unique than your buddys drunken riffing

Is that why he got fired from SNL for making racist and homophobic comments?

You can be a nice guy and say fucked up shit sometimes. People with friends know this.

Saying fuck up shits negates being a nice. Thats how people justify themselves being around Trump

All the incels woke up from their naps.

And then rehired to literally HOST the show 3 times in the year after. SNL couldn’t endorse Shane more after their botched forced firing.

notice he got hired back on multiple times since that

It’s almost as if white men can get away with failing up.

He literally set the record for biggest audience at a comedy show ever. I wouldn’t necessarily say that’s failing

u/beakerpancakes 3h ago

Well that would be because you struggle with basic English. Go ahead and look up the term for me

I guess I don’t understand. Please explain to me how someone who sells 70,000 tickets to a show, more than any other comedian ever, is a failure who was only able to do that because he’s white?

1

u/beakerpancakes 2h ago

Still not what failing up means. Seriously, look it up

1

u/punta_del_diablo 40m ago

Yeah because the stand up scene is totally biased against everyone but white men. I can’t think of a single famous comedian who isn’t a white man. Maybe if you stopped blaming race for everything and applied yourself you too could also “fail up”

2

u/AdvertisingTotal1241 3h ago

He’s the definition of succeeding, so yeah….there’s that.

1

u/beakerpancakes 2h ago

Which is not procluded from the term "failing upward". I'm dead serious. This entire thing is you not knowing what a term means

3

u/Beneficial-Bad-9050 6h ago

It’s almost like anyone can but it helps to be funnier than Chris Brown

u/RoutineGuest6465 3h ago

I guess he failed up to selling out stadium comedy tours huh... You guys love this whole "failing up" theory but can't really explain why everyone with the same conditions doesn't succeed.

That's ok, but you don't have to be. You can be an astronaut!

Are you by any chance an F150 broccoli head?
Cause I’m not, and that guy is a truly terrible performer.
He makes Larry the cable guy look smart and witty.

That’s a reach.

That's why Norm reached out to Shane? Because he's a soulless hack...

Sure if we know one thing about the late great Norm Macdonald it's that he lacked a sense of humor 😂
