Political Question Iran says it will re-open the Strait of Hormuz when Trump is removed as President. Does that sound like a good deal?

Couldn’t we just hand him over to them?
PS - They might torture him for disinformation?

And his entire family. And Kushner. And Vance. And Musk. And Zuckerberg.

It's a win win. The straight gets opened and Trump could get his peace prize.

Yes, removing Trump as President is a great idea.

u/mwebster745 22d ago
Yeah not like any negotiations with him will ever mean shit, everyone knows how little his word is worth
10
u/BananabreadBaker69 22d ago
It's like the playing chess with a pigeon thing. Trump will just shit all over the board and then claim victory. His word is worth less than nothing.

That’s an excellent idea. Many people in America would love to see Trump out of office and being prosecuted..

u/andrei_stefan01 22d ago
I think most people would like to see him dragged through the streets.

And pull down any of his statues and monuments. And get rid of his gaudy gold leaf.🤮

It's really disgusting that this is what we have come to. For transparency, I'm Canadian.. but not basing my comments on recent events. It's wild how incredibly (seemingly) easy it is to brainwash people.

He should be sent to Switzerland and tried for international crimes. A president can pardon himself for national crimes, but not international ones. He and all of his cronies deserve to be prosecuted for an illegal war.

How about they reopen it if we deliver him to them. We can use his gift jet to ship him there.

Screw it stick him in the back of my van and I'll deliver him personally. I think everyone might let me off not having a passport too

I've done the math and the fastest way is delivery by catapult.
All we need is a 7 stage catapult (first one launches the next six catapults, and at the apex, the second one launches the remaining 5 and repeat). For the landing, Iran just needs to provide 10 men holding a large sheet.
I'm 76% sure it will work.

If we don't get it right the first time, we have the rest of his administration to get it right.

I mean opening the whole straight is a lot of work. I don’t want to feel like we are taking advantage of them. I’ll add Kash as a free signing bonus

Yes. At this point, one can’t help but not blame Iran in this instance. Trump and/or Vance have met with Iranian leaders many times. Deals were negotiated, signed, and then what does the Trump regime do? Shit all over the deal put in place. Every. Single. Time. The 2/3 of our goverment’s reticence in checking the executive branch and Trump’s inability to control himself and Netanyahu is the undoing of America. Iran has no reason to trust Trump’s word because it isn’t worth the toilet paper it’s printed on.

Iran does stuff like this, so take it seriously not just trolling. They waited for Carter to be out to release hostages on Reagan day 1 cause they liked him.
Hopefully someone asks Trump if he should step down immediately for the good of gas prices. But he kicked the real media out of the White House

u/kalelopaka 22d ago
Yes, throw in the rest of his administration as well. Tranquilize, then airdrop all of them into Tehran.

Iran's government is an enemy of the United States. Whether Trump is president or not they are very much our enemies have been for 50 years. That being said. Trump is the greatest enemy the United States has ever faced. I welcome him finally being removed from power by the voters tossing his party and his movement from power.

I think it’s worth it. It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some corrupt pedophiles removed so that we can have the Strait of Hormuz open. That’s a prudent deal. It is rational.
3
u/BicTwiddler 22d ago
Solid plan. Couldn’t be better. Best deal yet. Quite possibly the best deal ever. USA will agree as long as Iran accepts Tr0mp as a security deposit.

Sure great deal. But then the war accomplished what? No nuke deal, showed the world the US is a paper tiger, the US abandoned many of their bases in the middle east, world sentiment has turned against the US, the US is running low on weapons, the US debt problem is about to explode.

Yes, let's all set an example by bowing to another nation. I dont like the situation anymore than anyone else but showing weakness by bowing to youre adversary is not the way. If Iran were to get their wish every other fuckin country on the planet would play the same card.
We already know what would become of Iran if the United States really wanted to and any other nations that backed them, at the end of the day its still ran by terrorists and if the people of the US did that it would be a sign of weakness.

This entire world is a mess because Trump and Putin started forever wars. Let's just admit our president is a moron. We can pack up and go home. Setting the world of fire for fear of backing down is frankly a pathetic display of toxic masculinity.

Do you believe Iran?
Realistically, Trump is gone in 2028 no matter what.
The problem I see with this logic is that his removal doesn't immediately end the hostilities.
In other words, I think Iran sees Trump's removal as either the man's to an end (but not the end itself) or a partial but incomplete victory.
This is in no way sticking up for Trump or the stupid war he started after explicitly promising not to. It's just saying that putting that toothpaste back in the tube isn't as easy as just getting rid of him.

No, not really. Iran has been funding terrorism for decades, and is generally a pain in the ass. One way or another, something drastic needs to be done about them.

u/Data_chunky 22d ago
Yesss! Let's take it to a public vote. And then we hog tie him, stuff an apple in his mouth and deliver him on a golden platter (he likes gold).
2
u/am1shvom1t 22d ago
I think that's an acceptable trade for everyone in the US, Iran, and the rest of the World. With his approval rating, I'm guessing most Republicans would agree with this as well.
