Political Question Does this settle the rumor that Trump's dad paid for his SATs?

It's simple economics, folks.

It just amazes me that this guy publicly humiliates himself daily by telling us in no uncertain terms that he is retarded and has no understanding of economics and republicans just nod their heads and clap anyways.

u/thelimeisgreen 25d ago

The problem is he said this stupid shit and there's roughly 38% of the US population who will, if they listen to this, think he sounds smart and it makes sense. The reality is that 1/3 of our country is some varying combination of stupid AF and / or loves what's happening.

86

u/kirradoodle 25d ago

This is why the test of the world us pulling away from America. The American electorate has shown that they are fine with a narcissistic lunatic in charge. The fact that they elected him - twice - shows that this is indeed the kind of leader they want. And they may well elect similar leaders in the future.

America seems to have gone completely off the rails, and it seems that it can't be trusted. So the rest of the world is making plans that don't include America. I don't blame them.

35

u/Flameburstx 24d ago

That is not why everyone is pulling away from america, though you've hit on the point at the end. The US have shown, repeatedly, that they can't be trusted.

Every other democratic country honors their deals even when a new leadership is elected. With america you toss the dice every 4 years on staunch supporter of democracy or authoritarian puppet state acting like a tinpot dictatorship. International relationships thrive on stability, and there's none to be found here.

u/jaxxon 24d ago

Pretty sure that’s by design and Trump is playing his role perfectly. 🤦‍♂️

Who else would Putin, Elon, Netanyahu, or Xi want in charge of America? Someone they can control and easily manipulate. With the promise of a few dollars, you can have Trump in your back pocket. It doesn’t matter what’s best for Americans, it’s all about Trump and a few bucks.

10

u/Responsible_Rule8829 24d ago

Don't forget pee tapes. They def have pee tapes.

12

u/Fishtoart 24d ago

Or pedo island tapes.

2

u/Awkward_Wait5915 24d ago

In all honesty, I think all 4 I named earlier have the tapes of Donnie. They know how to manipulate and work the people. Trump hasn’t mastered that yet. Now what they plan on doing with them, I have no idea. If you add all the rich people on the Epstein list, that would make those tapes worth billions and billions of dollars. I hope Karma comes sooner than later.

Thought of leaving when I graduated college in 2005. Thought of leaving for real in 2016. Really thought of leaving in 2024. Here I am. Sitting in my own pile of shit. I deserve this. I don't care what happens at this point. I blame myself. I should have left. I honestly don't fucking care anymore.

It’s never too late.

6

u/lilbittygoddamnman 24d ago

Same. I didn't think Trump had a snowball's chance of getting elected in 2024 and as soon as he was elected I started thinking about leaving the US. It's much easier said than done though. If I were single it would be easier, but having a family with pets complicates things.

6

I think there are two kinds of Trump supporters. One group is those who already have some money and want more and don't care who has to suffer for that to happen. The other lack critical thinking skills and were swayed by a charismatic narcissist.

4

u/Secret_Sherbet_2404 24d ago

You forgot the 3rd, Racist that want anyone with more melanin in their skin to suffer and hurt.

5

I don't think he's smart enough to know he's dumb af

Just don't buy bananas and we won't have to pay for them he says 😆

Sweet glad we have a 3rd grader in our corner

7

u/Ok-Introduction-1901 25d ago

Yup that what I'm saying 1/3 is a crazy number, how many more trumps will there be in the future?

5

u/chilehead 25d ago

The elimination of lead paint and gas should cut the number down considerably, but FAS and bad genes are pitching in to boost it.

5

u/WhatAmTrak 25d ago

Unfortunately propaganda seems to work on the intelligent as well, maybe not quite as efficient but you can see how it’s panned out in history. Over and over.

2

u/Former_Caregiver 24d ago

I think the environmental factors you mentioned are going to be FAR surpassed by something much, much worse for the general health of the general population.

Social media doomscrolling via smartphone apps. The distorted sense of reality pushed by podcasts and influencersvandcSM platforms, but crucially as they became ducered by also and always available 24/7 in our pockets and purses.

Now add AI psychosis into that toxic neurological stew.

I swear, we're going to absolutely pine for the <s>fjords</s> days of leaded paint and petrol.

We laugh out asses off at the absurdity, but when you take a step back, this sort of thing reflects poorly on all of us. Ol’ Donnie is merely the tip of our nation’s iceberg of issues at this point; you could argue he always was in a way, but his conduct this time around makes that an absolute certainty.

Democracy doesn’t come without consequences—when the electorate elects such a man by popular support or anything remotely close to it, that says a helluva lot more about Americans than Don. Never has there been a more transparently narcissistic, malicious, spiteful, and preposterously-stupid leader in the history of elected government—and around half of American voters decided to not just back, but build their identities around, dedicate themselves to, and even worship him through not one nor two, but THREE presidential election cycles.

Rest assured, we’re not the only ones laughing.

3

u/NeptuneOverlord43045 25d ago

I agree, my fellow Americans and American society as a whole is a massive disappointment, some unholy storm of selfishness, stupidity, willful ignorance, apathy, resentment, and bigotry all coming together and just fucking this country up sideways, which subsequently has fucked up many parts of the world outside of the U.S. as well. Just a shameful country full of shameful people.

3

u/Psychological-Sir152 24d ago

I think this is what most people get wrong about Trump…he doesn’t believe the bullshit he spews, it’s that he KNOWS a large part of the population will. He’s not an idiot, he’s a pathological liar constantly, incessantly trying to shape a narrative.

3

u/MorningMushroomcloud 24d ago

The worst part (yes, worse than his absolute lack of understanding of how trade works) is the he obviously thinks that he is supossed to be in control of EVERYONE'S finances.

He isn't buying the bananas, the US government isn't buying the bananas. The people are buying the bananas. (well, the private companies that are selling the people the bananas are, but that is still, technically, the people.)

You know what IS losing the US money? Him literally giving trillions hundreds of billions of our tax dollars to Israel. The is the USA giving away our tax money. We get no goods, or anything, and they just get our money.

36

u/Hail_of_Grophia 25d ago

2

4

u/Sabbathius 25d ago

The sad thing is, Trump didn't actually say this about bananas. He can't actually formulate a hypothetical like that any more. What he said is "if we do 50 billion in business with a country, and we stop trading with them, we don't lose 50 billion any more, right?"

And what is even sadder, when he says "Right?" out of a dozen people in front of him, not the one has the spine or testicular fortitude to tell him "No, you moron, that's not how any of it works". Instead they just nod and smile, he gets positive feedback and just keeps on going. And that's largely why we are where we are today. We need to go back to hurting people's feelings if they're acting like this.

4

u/Dex_Maddock 25d ago

Money is just paper that's meant to be traded for foods and services. Sacrificing a good to save money just makes the money pointless.
