Looking for alpha testers for Focale, a desktop image editor (Linux / Windows / macOS)

Hi everyone !

I'm the developer of Focale, a new cross-platform desktop image editor.

Focale is designed around local editing, a familiar UI, and features such as advanced edition tools, layers, masks, adjustments and support for common creative file formats.

I'm looking for early testers who can help shape the application. I'm especially interested in feedback about :

  • Interface usability and workflow.
  • Bugs and unexpected behavior.
  • Performance on different operating systems.
  • Missing features and format compatibility.

The goal is to gather useful feedback and improve the editor before a wider release.

Here's the website : https://focale-editor.app.

I'd be happy to hear your suggestions and answer any questions !

DIGI camera app — looking for early testers ahead of our October 21 beta

We're building DIGI, a camera app with the charm of a digital camera, already in your pocket.

We're gathering an early-access group before our planned October 21 beta launch. If you like taking photos of everyday moments and want to help shape a new camera app, we'd love to have you.

Join the list:

https://joindigi.app/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=community&utm_campaign=beta_oct21&utm_content=alphaandbetausers

This is an early-access signup; the beta isn't available to download yet. The site asks for your name and email so we can send beta updates. Phone number is optional.

Once the beta opens, we're especially interested in how easy it is to get started, how the photos feel, and what would make you use DIGI again.

What's the one thing you'd want from a digital-camera-style app?

I built a Spaced Repetition Tracker powered by the FSRS-6 algorithm

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a web app I’ve been working on: Nexus: Spaced Repetition Tracker.

I built this app right here in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 to help students and self-learners optimize their study routines without dealing with overly complicated setups. But this is not limited to locally, Anyone from Anywhere can use this according to their curriculum.

Here are the core features:

FSRS-6 Algorithm: Powered by the cutting-edge Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler (FSRS-6) engine for highly accurate, scientifically optimized review intervals.

Sri Lankan A/L Commerce Syllabus (Optional Download): Local students can instantly download pre-made flashcard decks tailored specifically for the Advanced Level Commerce stream. More Pre builds can be added in the future according to the requests I get.

Cloud Backup: Never lose your progress. Your study history and flashcards sync automatically and securely.

Some Analytics: Visual insight charts to track your daily review streaks, retention rates, and overall learning progress.

Also include more features like study timer, exam paper score tracking, mistake journals, backlog clearance scheduler and more that I can't even remember.

Pleace consider that I'm not a developer or an IT student, I built this as a hobby and with the help of AI coding tools for creating complex areas and suggestions. I want to give the best for the people who use it, for completely free.

It’s completely free to check out, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on the UI, functionality, or any features you think are missing!

Link: https://spaced-repetition-tracker-delta.vercel.app/

Thanks for checking it out!

Looking for testers: free browser tool for falling-notes piano videos

I built TileDropper, a free browser tool that turns MIDI and MusicXML files into falling-notes piano videos: https://tiledropper.github.io/TileDropper/

I’m looking for testers. Try it with your own files, then tell me what browser you used, what you tried, and what broke or confused you. Things I know about already: recording runs in real time, and the hands feature is in beta.

Thanks for any feedback.

We built a privacy-first AI data analyst for PostgreSQL — looking for beta testers

Most text-to-SQL tools have the same problem. To use them, you either replicate your data somewhere or send your schema and query results to a third-party LLM API. For a lot of teams (finance, healthcare, anything with compliance requirements), that's a non-starter.

So we built Quenzite, and we’re looking for beta testers.

What is Quenzite

Quenzite is your own virtual Data Analyst platform that helps you deliver quick real-time analytics without circling back to your analysts for actionable results on the go.

What it does

1. Ask questions in plain English. Non-technical people type something like "which customers had declining orders quarter over quarter?" Quenzite writes the multi-join PostgreSQL query, runs it (on your machine), and streams back the result set plus a plain-English explanation.

2. Build dashboards by prompting. Describe the dashboard you want ("sales overview by region with monthly trends and top products") and it builds one from your data. After that you can keep adding widgets two ways: write your own SQL, or just describe the widget in English. Analysts can drop into SQL when they want control, and everyone else can stay in plain language.

How it's different

  • Zero data ingestion: it queries your live Postgres at runtime. Nothing is copied or synced.
  • Read-only: SELECT-only privileges, so it can't mutate or drop anything.
  • No third-party LLM calls: it runs its own LLM on dedicated infrastructure. Your prompts, schema, and results never go to OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.
  • Ask instead of guessing: if a question is ambiguous ("revenue" could mean three different things in your schema), it asks for clarification instead of quietly picking one.

Where it's at
Current scope is descriptive analytics (what happened, and why the numbers look the way they do at the data level), plus the dashboard builder. Root-cause analysis and forecasting are on the roadmap, but I'm not claiming them yet.

Who we are looking for

  • Teams running PostgreSQL with a reasonably normalized, multi-table schema
  • People who regularly field "can you pull this number?" requests from non-technical colleagues
  • Anyone whose security or compliance constraints rule out typical BI and AI tools
  • We are currently looking for about 4-5 people / teams for our first phase of testing

What you get: free access during beta and direct influence on the roadmap

What I need from you: honest feedback on:

  • where the generated SQL is wrong
  • whether the clarification prompts help or annoy
  • whether the auto-generated dashboards are actually useful or need too much rework
  • Overall user experience of the product
  • How it can help you in your day to day life and what value add it brings.

If you're interested, comment or DM us with your use case and we'll get you set up. Happy to answer technical questions in the comments too, including the hard ones about accuracy and edge cases.

Note:- As a fully bootstrapped startup with a small team, we’re mindful of our GPU resources and strive to use them as efficiently and responsibly as possible.

Looking for feedback on an AI tool that turns documents into PowerPoint slides

I’m working on Migoo, an AI presentation tool, and I’m looking for a few people to try the current beta and share their feedback.

I’m particularly interested in how well it handles the process of turning existing materials — like PDFs, notes, research, or documents — into an editable PowerPoint presentation.

The workflow is designed to help with extracting key information, organizing the content, generating slides, and exporting the final deck as an editable PPTX file.

What I’d really like to understand is where it falls short in actual use.

For example:

  • Does it miss important information or include things that aren’t relevant?
  • Does the presentation flow make sense?
  • Are there too many slides or too much text?
  • How much work is needed to fix the layouts?
  • Does the exported PPTX work well in PowerPoint?
  • What features or improvements would make the process more useful?

If you regularly create presentations for work, research, or other projects, I’d love to hear about your experience.

Migoo is still in beta, so I’m not expecting everything to work perfectly. Honest feedback, including criticism, would be much more helpful than a simple thumbs-up. I want to understand what needs improvement before opening it up to more users.

[Web, Beta] One Piece fans: can you test Log Pose’s spoiler-aware tracker?

I’m building Log Pose, a free browser companion for One Piece anime watchers and manga readers. It’s an early public version, and I’d like testers on both phone and desktop.

Try it: https://log-pose-companion.vercel.app/

You enter your episode or chapter, then track progress, rate completed arcs, rank characters, log rewatches/rereads, and try quizzes unlocked by your progress. Guest exploration is available; optional email login saves your logbook.

A useful five-minute test: enter your actual progress, open a completed arc, save a rating, and try a quiz. Does anything feel confusing, break on mobile, or reveal something ahead of your progress? Please avoid story spoilers in replies.

I’m also considering spoiler-gated arc discussions. Would that give you a reason to return? I’m the creator and looking for honest feedback, including if the app doesn’t feel useful.

[Beta] Kith Moot — a fantasy RPG where an AI narrates and real 5e SRD dice decide

Hey folks. I've been working on a side project and I am hoping you'll enjoy it.

**What it is:** Kith Moot is a fantasy role-playing game you play in your browser, alone or with up to three friends. You make a character, type what you want to do, and an AI narrator runs the adventure. The difference from most AI story games: the game engine rolls every die and runs the rules (fifth edition SRD, both the 2014 and 2024 versions). The narrator can only propose what happens, and the engine checks it against your character sheet. You can fail.

**Who it's for:** people who like tabletop-style fantasy, solo or with a small group, and don't want to fuss with a DM or an engine that can cheat or forget your gear.

**Stage:** closed beta. It's been live with a small group since September.

**What's in it:** - 12 classes to level 20, multiclassing, feats - 338 spells and every SRD monster - Full combat: initiative, conditions, bosses, AI companions - Dungeons, a world map, travel, towns and shops, a journal that tracks the story - Short, medium and long campaigns, plus seasonal ones

**Platforms:** web, on phone or computer. You can add it to your home screen like an app.

**Feedback I'm looking for:** - Where you got stuck or confused in the first 30 minutes - When the narrator said something the rules didn't back up - Bugs (there's a bug button in the game) - What would make you come back the next day

**Cost:** free for the closed beta. Founder pricing for closed beta testers during open beta and live play.

**Join:** request an invite at https://kithmoot.com/beta/. I'm letting people in about 10 a day, so it may take a day or two.

I am happy to answer questions here.

Looking for first-time testers for two small finance web apps

I’m testing two free browser projects. No signup is needed to try either. Pick whichever interests you:

TVM Study Desk teaches time value of money with practice questions and calculator steps. Try one question: https://tvm-study-desk.vercel.app/?utm_source=reddit_alphaandbetausers&utm_medium=community&utm_campaign=first_launch#practice/growth

IncomeLens turns simulated transactions into income summaries. Open Data pipeline and inspect a classification: https://incomelens-olive.vercel.app/?view=pipeline&mode=demo&currency=USD#analysis

Did the instructions make the next step clear? Please share any confusing wording or mobile layout problems. IncomeLens uses test data only; it doesn’t connect your real bank.

[Web] PlanChecker AI: ask your construction plans a question and get an answer linked to the source sheet

finding one detail shouldn't mean opening twenty sheets.

i'm working on PlanChecker AI. you upload a construction plan set, ask project-specific questions, and get answers linked to the relevant sheets so you can check the source yourself.

if you're a contractor, architect, or estimator, here's a practical way to try it: take a set you're authorized to upload and ask a question you'd normally have to hunt through the drawings to answer. find a door schedule, locate a detail, or ask what the plans specify for a particular area. then open the cited sheet and compare the answer with the drawing.

the goal is less searching and a shorter path from question to source, with you still making the final call.

there's a 14-day Basic trial covering one project. a card is required; it's $80/month afterward unless you cancel before the trial ends.

try it at PlanChecker.ai. if you give it a go, tell us which task you'd use it for again and where it slowed you down. that's the feedback we're after.

Can you explain what this congressional-trade score means after viewing one example?

I run ConflictScore and want to test whether the explanation is understandable to someone seeing it for the first time.

Open https://www.conflictscore.com/ and look at the public example. Without reading anything else, what do you think the score measures?

Then check the explanation and original filing link. Did either change your interpretation?

The intended meaning is mapped committee–industry overlap, using current committee assignments. It does not establish wrongdoing or historical committee membership.

The public example doesn’t require a purchase; other research features are paid. Feedback in the comments is welcome, especially anything the page made you misunderstand.

[Web] I built a platform for creating, sharing, and remixing lists. Looking for early users and feedback!

Hi everyone!

I've been working on a side project called pisipisy, a website where people can create and share lists of things they love, like books, movies, games, or pretty much anything else.

The idea came from seeing so many content creators sharing their "Top 10" recommendations on YouTube and Instagram. The problem is, those lists are usually buried inside videos, making them hard to find and revisit later.

So I built a place where anyone can create lists, discover other people's lists, contribute to existing ones, or remix them into their own versions.

I also integrated third-party APIs to make adding books, movies, and games easier, so you don't have to manually enter all the details and images.

The website is live at pisipisy.com, and I'm looking for some early users to try it out.

I'd especially love feedback on:

  • How easy it is to create a list
  • Whether the contribution and remix features make sense
  • Anything that feels confusing or could be improved
  • Features you'd like to see

It's still an early version, so there's definitely room for improvement.

I'd really appreciate it if you gave it a try and shared your thoughts. Thanks!

I built a free iPhone brain-dump app for thoughts you lose while your hands are busy

I’m the founder of Ordo: Brain Dump — a free iPhone app with no account.

The problem I wanted to solve is simple: a thought shows up while you’re walking, commuting, or doing something else, and opening a full task app is just enough friction to lose it.

With Ordo, you can speak a messy mix of thoughts, then get editable Now, Next, and Someday cards instead of leaving yourself another voice-note pile.

For people who use voice to capture thoughts: what usually makes you quit an app — needing too much setup, bad transcription, or it losing the context of what you said?

Looking for beta testers: AI local guide for foreigners in Brazil

Hi everyone! I’m Fernanda, a researcher from Brazil. I’ve spent years studying urban culture and leading 200+ walking tours with foreigners in Brazilian cities.

On every walk I heard the same questions. Why do people sit in the front seat of the Uber? Why does “come by my place sometime” not mean you’re invited? How on earth do I get a CPF? Guidebooks tell you where to go. Nobody tells you how a country works.

So I decided to turn all those conversations into something people could carry in their pocket. I built the Feltrip Guide: an AI local friend you just chat with, like texting a friend who lives here. No app to download.

http://feltrip.com

What it does right now:

  • explains everyday cultural codes and culture shocks, and asks you questions back instead of giving a lecture;
  • helps with bureaucracy: CPF, Pix, SUS, bank accounts and common scams;
  • recommends places from our own curated library, built from field research, and only falls back to public sources with a quality filter;
  • shows events, street fairs and rainy-day plans.

It works in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and it’s free. It covers Rio, São Paulo and Curitiba so far.

How it’s built: a chat interface, Claude as the language model, and a library of places, neighborhood “vibes” and cultural notes we’ve collected since 2022.

What it’s not (yet): it’s not perfect. Sometimes it recommends a place in the wrong neighborhood, and I fix that by hand. It doesn’t book anything. It never messages you first, and there’s no spam. If anyone contacts you using our name, it’s not us.

What’s next: more cities, a “How Brazilian are you?” challenge, and an open community, r/CidadesBR, to collect stories about how Brazilian cities really feel to those who arrive.

Where I’d love your feedback:

  1. Would you rather get this kind of help in a chat, or in an app or a website?
  2. What’s the one thing you wish someone had explained to you when you arrived in a new country?
  3. If you try it, what felt useful and what felt off?

You can find it at feltrip.com. I’ll read and answer every comment. Thanks for reading!

[Android + iOS, Live] Foreverse: a reader where your own epub/txt can branch, looking for feedback on import and the branch picker

Developer disclosure: I make Foreverse (small team, closed source).

Foreverse is an Android reader for your own txt / epub / md files where an AI can continue the book on a branch. When the book ends, or you reach a spot where you wish it had gone differently, the app offers a few "what happens next" cards. Each pick becomes a real branch, and the original text is never touched, so you can always flip back.

Since this is the place for feedback, here is what I most want tested: whether importing your own files works (odd chapter headings, unusual encodings and very long books are where I expect it to break), whether the branch picker is clear or you lose track of which branch you are on, and whether the free tier (3 books, 3 character cards, 3 companions) feels fair.

You bring your own API key (60+ providers or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint; keys stay encrypted on the phone) or use the built-in pay-as-you-go credits. It needs Android 11 or newer. There is also a new iPhone version on the App Store.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.foreverse.android

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6791037004

If something breaks, tell me which file or which step it was and I will look at it.

[Chrome, Beta] YouTube isn’t stopping these NSFW comment bots, so I did

YouTube isn’t stopping these NSFW and malicious comment bots, so I built Kalm. Some paste normal-looking replies, then hide spam links in their bio or point to another channel with an explicit avatar.

Kalm checks comment links, public bios and visible channel promotions before showing the comment. It also blocks ads and trackers, including YouTube ad filters, using uBlock Origin Lite. Free and open source.

I’m looking for testers for this early release: try loading more comments, opening replies and switching between videos and Shorts. Missed bots and normal comments that stay hidden are the useful reports. You can add sites or literal keywords, or optionally hide all linked comments.

It doesn’t analyse pictures or detect copied text alone. Promotion rules can hide legitimate accounts and new author checks can delay comments.

Install: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/kalm/pkkjnfbgokmbhhppmkbfgfcgapmddinf?authuser=0&hl=en-GB Source/issues: https://github.com/userduser/kalm Real demo (censored): https://github.com/userduser/kalm/releases/download/v0.1.0/kalm-owner-demo.mp4 The blur and NSFW labels were added to the recording.

An updated UI is pending store approval.

*NEED TESTERS* - Building out a new type of sports picks app

Firstly, if this is in the wrong place, please delete, and apologies in advance if it is.

Let me start by saying I'm very much in the build phase BUT I do currently have the first major step completed - A functioning betting picks bot. Now, that being said, that's nothing new and theres 100s of services out there that all claim to make you profit in the long run.

CURRENT: The bot I currently have built is currently via Tele gram, it sends through top value picks based on a stringent set of guidelines and and an abundance of verified data sources. That bot I intend to actually keep free for as long as possible; ideally forever (as long as I incur no mega costs as I scale this). I would love to have a few people join the channel so they can see the delivery, the picks, the formats, the results etc while this bot is so early.

THE VISION: I'm going to be taking the data from this bot, user feedback from anyone who wants to join & other data sources to train a Chatbot to essentially become a master sports analyst. You will eventually be able to talk to it to either scrutinise your own betslips or provide you with different/better bets/parlays/accas based on what you've asked.

Think along the lines of: "Tell me the best games to bet Over 2.5 goals on this weekend". The bot would then ask you 2-3 questions (Leagues filters, specific teams etc) and then provide you with a 3-5 fold parlay/acca.

I'd love to have people in to test this while the process is ongoing, provide me feedback (good and bad) so I can grow this with real reliable results and feedback.

[Any testers that decide they want to join - I'll ensure you always have free access, and when I eventually release the chatbot - you will have that free forever.]

What do you think of the idea? How much would you charge (if at all?)

Side notes: I'm UK based and currently building this for UK based platforms but if you have knowledge of English football (Soccer) you could definitely get involved using your own sportsbooks for now.

-Also brand new to Reddit so please forgive me for any missed etiquette here.

[Web, free] BLOC: a daily planner that caps you at 3 must-do tasks. Looking for testers on desktop and phone (10 min)

Hi everyone, I'm a solo builder (I built this with some AI help). I'm disorganized and get overwhelmed easily, and no planner ever worked for me. So I made my own.

The idea: every task gets a letter from A to E, and only 3 can be an "A" (must-do) per day. The app won't let you add a fourth. It also has a focus timer, habits, a weekly review and a calendar.

It's free, no signup needed, and your data stays in your browser.

Link: https://yitbloc-app.vercel.app

How to test: there's no script. Just open it and use it like you would any planner. Poke around, try whatever you're curious about, and break things if you can. If you don't know where to start, the guide button (top right, the play icon) walks you through each tab in a couple of minutes.

I'm after your honest overall impression, not a checklist.

What I most want to know:

- What confused you in the first minute?

- Did anything break, look wrong or feel slow?

- Would you actually use this every day? If not, why?

- What's missing?

How to reply: just comment below, or send me a message. Please tell me your device and browser (for example "iPhone, Safari" or "Windows, Chrome"). Harsh feedback is welcome, it helps me more than praise.

Known issues, so you don't waste time: there's an optional account for syncing between devices, but it's new, and the first sign-in can take up to a minute. You don't need it to test anything above.

I read and answer every comment. Thank you!

I need fresh eyes on the exercise where you track a target, match shapes and do maths all at once

I built Brain Preflight, an iPhone app for practising aptitude tests for pilot, police, military and other selections. The exercises are based on various cadet school selections and other aptitude tests.

I’d especially like feedback on the multitasking exercise: you track a moving target, match shapes and check maths while keeping multiple tasks going.

Are the instructions clear enough to understand what to do on your first try? If you get lost, I’d like to know where: the explanation, the controls or switching between tasks.

Heads up: some exercises are hard. Some are 1:1 recreations of real past tests we’ve collected. The goal is to help people prepare, not just entertain them.

The app is already on the App Store. I’m looking for feedback on the current version.

Try Brain Preflight on iPhone · Watch the short gameplay demo
