How is Uber still in business?

Post image

Uber is the legal definition of bait and switch. So many advertisements for deals and messing with the numbers to make orders look reasonable and then falsifying what you’re actually saving and tacking on opaque fees… I don’t even pay for the premium membership but get it free from another source and it’s still not even close to worth it compared to just looking at store coupons and ordering delivery… How is this company in business when they get your orders wrong and miss items 90%+ of the time?

I think they're trying to stay in business by increasing the Other Fees.

These "other fees" are such bullshit. They didn't used to exist, and now they're just a convenient way to pad the numbers whenever a company wants to make a deal look better than it really is.

And yes, I'd absolutely call it bait and switch. The other day I saw a $3 Domino's pizza being advertised. No minimum spend, nothing in the ad that suggested otherwise. But when I actually selected it and went to check out, there was nearly $15 in "other fees" attached to a $3 item, and that's before the delivery fee was even added.

Someone needs to class action them...
