He’s a professional con artist. He’s a good salesman because he could sell ice to an Eskimo…because he’s so dumb that he honestly believes the Eskimos need ice so his pitch is very convincing.
His delivery is stock manipulation and financial engineering, the tech and product side is just the vehicle to commit massive fraud, enriching everyone helping financially
That’s how the venture capital business works. No one is being defrauded, they just hope that “the thing” gets enough critical mass or works well enough that it becomes an institution of sorts and they can cash out if they need to and move on to the next great idea.
That’s why people are willing to give money to the guy who started WeWork for his new venture or invested money with Elizabeth Holmes.
Elon is so good at this that even his failures are successful in some sense which is why people will trip over themselves to give him money.
