The comparison between caring more about looks versus money is a false dichotomy… if you’re a shitty person you’ll never find a meaningful relationship with either.

And cars are money pits. Getting 6 cars is poor financial advice. Anything beyond need and comfort is toy. If you want to spend a little money on a toy you enjoy then good for you, but hard work and a nice degree rarely makes 6 cars only a little money.
