Discussion Can you please explain what happened to the US democratic party and liberal left?

This movement became unrecognizable.

This is truly chilling.

I’m a republican… and every day I watch the news I wonder what happened to my party as well.

Like with anything that comes with politics, you HAVE to see the bigger picture and context in what they're addressing.

Macklemore tried criticizing people using a stereotype, he apologized.

Piker is one of many that has said they hate the US for what it has done and become. Everyone holds different standards for their country, this is a double edged sword type of argument.

Mamdani's wife liking "celebrating" posts is very subjective and again, other political parties are guilty in a similar offense.

Abdul knows there's more to condemning a group for its recent actions than for what its been trying to do. They are a military group fighting for their country... literally what the US has and different branches of which.

I understand the frustration with political parties and ideologies, but im more frustrated with one political party trying to throw the other under the bus without understanding the full context such as this. I have liberal cousins and we have conversations that we agree upon fundamentally because we managed to have a conversation that comes down to it.

These types of posts are annoying because its trying to feed into a culture war of "radicals vs liberals" when they are 2 sides to the same coin. Trump polarized BOTH parties and was better off not becoming the republican nominee. I genuinely believe he caused the party to gain a worse rep than what people already had.

We are adults, conduct yourselves as such and have some discussions ling enough to understand why people think and hold the values that they do.

No clue, but a big reason why I left the party. Actually they left me. It seems like the sides have switched places. The worst is the vitriol over politics.

It's always had Communist undertones.
