Poop piss poop piss poop piss

Its messy and irrational when you can have one side poop and one side piss

If you’re gonna do this make them all stalls and all actual toilets

THANK you.

I actually wish this were always the case.

Urinals are a goddamn pain in the ass to service/replace, and people are always spitting their goddamn gum and Zyns in them now.

Urinals are the most horrid things ever devised by humankind. They should either be banned forever or men should be forced to take compulsory aiming lessons and have to have a licence to use one.

Men try to pee standing regardless of the vessel. They'll just piss on the seat and call it a day.

I was about to say women don't, but I've heard that's not as universal as I'd imagined...

O wise former bathroom cleaner, enlighten me on women's bathroom hygiene.

As a general rule, the women's bathroom was cleaner than the men's bathroom, but this was purely due to the lake of pee that collected underneath the urinals. The men's actual toilets were typically as clean as the women's.

...unless that is a hovering incident had occurred. While still rare, this was more common in the women's than the men's and was vastly worse than anything the urinals ever produced. Pee would be a blessed relief after the horrible things that could happen after a hovering incident.

As a former cleaner/housekeeper I agree. I found it disappointing how goddamn awful women's hygeine could be, and not just in bathrooms. I don't make generalizatons about gender based cleanliness anymore.

I always found womens bathrooms to be worse, mainly because women have more fluids coming out in the bathroom and old menstrual products reek. Yea, urinal puddles are always a thing, but ill take them over menstrual products that were half in the bags and half in the boxes because they get so damn full.

I will say though, the worst surprises were always found in the men's room. I had kids take a shit a foot away from the toilet, on purpose. I also had some kids put pads on the mirror, that was annoying to clean up because of the adhesive.

Both bathrooms have their own unique nastiness, they are bathrooms after all. Kinda glad I dont clean public bathrooms anymore, multiple jobs over 15 years is enough for me lol.

Back when I cleaned bathrooms it was simply just different. Mens bathrooms had an area of effect. Piss everywhere. The mess women leave behind was more condensed. Lots of bloody clogged toilets. I'd rather clean the piss.

I'm a guy. If I wear shorts and pee in a urinal, there isn't a location I can aim that doesn't lead to the feeling tiny droplets of piss collecting on my leg hairs. Other men I've spoken to claim otherwise, but I believe they just don't pay attention. I still stand to pee in public restrooms pretty often (thank you for your former service), but the only clean way to pee is sitting imo and that is what I do at home.

I was pissing at a urinal and some dipshit walked up to the one next to mine and somehow pissed on the floor, nearly hitting my shoe in the process. Didn't even bother to make sure his dick was shooting straight before letting it flow.

So I completely agree. Get these fuckers licensed and fine them for their negligent discharges.

I gave up on cleaning the bathroom too! High five!

Why were they invented in the first place? Are they cheaper to make or something?

3

u/DeliciousDeer1096 11h ago

I would imagine they exist because they take up less room, you can stick two urinals down in the space a single proper toilet stall takes up.

3

u/posthuman04 10h ago

I suppose logistically it takes less time per user. Stadiums used to have troughs and everyone would just find an open space between everyone else to pee. The convenience still makes women standing in mile long lines jealous.

And they’re like half the size of a normal toilet, takes less water to flush and you don’t need a toilet paper dispenser for each one.

Do you seriously think that men pissing in a toilet is going to be more accurate than men pissing in a urinal?

1

u/Equivalent_Pear_3423 7h ago

Urinals are the best invention in terms of keeping bathrooms clean and lines moving. As long as their placed at a reasonable height you basically cant miss. There is no advantage to a regular toilet when it comes to peeing and a ton of disadvantages.

1

u/VegaKH 4h ago

There's a myth that men miss a lot. The main issue is splashback.

3

u/karmapuhlease 11h ago

My office only has toilets with stalls, and it's absolutely disgusting. Grown professional men who make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year are pissing on the seats and on the floor and leaving gross messes. I yearn to have urinals again.

1

u/posthuman04 10h ago

I bet if they were unisex the men would have better bathroom manners

1

u/KillerSatellite 9h ago

Nah... i work in a place with a unisex restroom and the men still suck at using them. Its not a "consideration" thing, its a "gross incompetence" thing. And before someone gets cranky, im a man.

1

u/s00pahFr0g 9h ago

Do unisex bathrooms typically have urinals? I believe I’ve only ever been in one unisex bathroom ever and that was around 18 years ago so I don’t remember lol

1

u/JumpyWord 5h ago

Not usually but I've been in a few that have. But weirdly I've also been in a few that were single occupancy and had both a toilet and a urinal for reasons I cannot explain.

One place around here had one in their basement. They had family stay for a while down there with the idea they would come upstairs to go number 2 in the actual toilet and the person didn’t feel like going upstairs so they….decided to go downstairs…… it was nearly a biohazard when the smell finally reached upstairs and they almost had to evacuate the house when they realized what had happened and had to get it cleaned out.

Death. Death.

u/WirlingDirvish 7h ago

Would you rather have to clean the piss off the floor and toilets at a 5x greater frequency?

2

u/muscularsharpie 11h ago

There's this one restaurant (food is incredible, and the other amazing thing is they're not overpriced), and they have eight individual stalls.

They should get credit for their food, but the "talk," about them is their luxurious single bathrooms.

But fuck me, their happy hour.. siete de mares on tortas.

1

u/Suyefuji 10h ago

Buccees does the same thing. Toilets are one of their primary selling points.

2

u/No_Advantage_3353 9h ago

Its a lot quicker just piss and go

2

u/jwr410 9h ago

NO! I can get in and out in under 2 minutes. Stalls slow everything down if most people only need to whizz and wash.

1

u/posthuman04 8h ago

Well, again, if the design in the OP is in place, it’s dumb and may as well be all stalls. If ergonomics is your goal, easy access to the urinal is important, too

1

u/chamullerousa 11h ago

That would give every man a momentary panic attack when they walked in and didn’t see any urinals

1

u/posthuman04 11h ago

Men are so precious

1

u/Swiftster 8h ago

From the sounds of other comments it's not much more expensive, yeah.
