Discussion Thank god

Post image

Thank God the no 5-hour limits and same weekly usage is going to win. I don't know about y'all but I'm quite happy with the weekly limits, to be honest. At least if I had 5-hour usage limit barriers, that would interrupt my work a lot more than having less weekly usage. Thank God that the no 5-hour limits and same weekly usage low-key won. The voting is going to end in 30 minutes but it seems like it won

Unless you're ultra maxxing, pro accounts never hit the 5h limits. 2x weekly was the better option. This public poll is likely full of free and plus users.

So I can agree with the 2x weekly if the 5h limit has usage of like what today would be using 40% of your usage. I don’t think it’s easy to eat 40% in 5hrs. If it’s something less I couldn’t vote for 5hr. Also it’s unclear what trap could happen in future if they decide to release a new model and the 5h is less than 40% of what today brings again.

Right. But that is the trap. They already have one variable (base quota) they don't post, lock in or guarantee and that is and enough. People are willing say 'yeah sure bring back a second variable you can do the same with for the promise of 2x the first variable you could slash in half tomorrow and we'd never truly know'

Ya it should be regulated. Internet companies are supposed to give you consistent bandwidth that you pay for. I am sure at least existing US laws would apply here but are not being enforced. They shouldn’t be allowed to quantinize models and provide you less than a specific rate of tokens per dollar unless it’s clear that’s what is happening as you consume.

Agreed that it should be regulated.

Hard disagree that "I am sure at least existing US laws would apply". The US is deeply anti-consumer unfortunately.
