Hey does anyone know how to optimize, Marvel Rivals on Fedora to make it runnable on 720p. Mine ran at 15fps on 1080 and 30fps on HD before it inevitably froze. I've seen a youtube video do it with the same specs on windows. I am new to linux gaming, if anyone can give me a hand, I'd appreciate it!

Tried ones from cs.rin.ru, ankergames, zeigames, ... . Just can't run. Tried with goldberg with ankergames release, it runs the game but game requires internet connection on first launch.

I keep getting this error when trying to install P3R onto Bazzite. I have tried downloading it from different download mirrors. I unpacked the files using unrar and then verified that the files are okay using wine. To download I have tried Steam Proton, Lutris, and Heroic and installing to both what the installer sees as the Z: and C: for all three. I am not sure what is going wrong and if I need to allow permissions to write to these files. Any help would be appreciated!

Important to note I’m using Ubuntu. I hadn’t seen anyone talk about this in a few years so just in case anyone is struggling I’ll write down one or two methods to get it running.

If you get the black screen, depending on where you got your cracked version of Omori from (personally I used SteamRIP) there should be the Omori exe file and the Launch Omori bat file. Use steam (enable compatibility after adding it) and add the .bat not the .exe file. For me it tripped out for a bit then it launched. Another fix is to open up the .bat and see if it has the code it needs to run, then use Lutris (haven’t tried this one out myself)

I’m using Decky HV on SteamOS. I’ve recently learned that most CPUs don’t even need HV bypass and I think my CPU is one of them. That means I disabled UMIP for no reason… how do I re-enable it?

Wanted to know if there is a good way on Linux to unlock the newer DLC's for the game and if anybody has tested out if they put any counter measures to it recently.

Hello, I managed to get Onimusha running on my deck after a lot of trial and error, but the first boot forces you to pick some settings, one of the screens asks you to verify your age. My keyboard and deck controls work fine until I reach that part, no matter what I do it refuses to put anything into the box.

I deleted the dinput.dll since that was giving me a black screen.

I'm using the GE-11-7 linuwux reworked version, but I have tried other older ones and it doesn't work. I'm running it through steam, not any other launcher like Lutris or the like, has anyone had this same issue?

Gears Of War E-Day keeps crashing.

every time it tries to compile shaders it crashes.

and when it finally did finish the compilation, it crashes in random moments. no error code, just exits to desktop. cant even get through making a new game session without freezing for a few seconds and then crashing.

when i tried the bootcamp level it was quite smooth with no hitching whatsoever with a mix of low-medium. crashes when i try to adjust settings,too

A friend o mine got themselves a cracked version, and wants to run it through bottles. Anyone know how to do this? C++ dependencies don't do anything and it crashes on startup.

I am using cachyOS and i installed the game from fitgirl (I have also tried the ElAmigos version i had the same error) the autolaod HV is disabled when i click next it sends me to the denuvo anti tamper support page and i can not get the game to launch I would appreciate any help and I use the latest version of proton cachyOS

I can’t find any download managers that go around Cloudfare Captchas.
I couldn’t get SilverSpoon to work and Jdownloader doesnt support Cloudfare Captchas.

I want to delete windows 11 at all and switch to linux, do you know anyway to obtain Ansys Fluent through "particular" means?

I use it for my PhD, and even though I want to switch to openfoam soon, at the moment I need it for meshing and case preparation..

I then use some clusters for the simulations, but the preliminary preparation is needed on my pc.

I tried on VM to install it with Wine, but I couldn't get it, is there any way? Or could I maybe use it inside a virtual machine inside linux? (I would like to use it natively on linux obviously, if possible)

What is going on with the videos in this game? I get my specs are just enough to run, and it does run well, over 90-100fps! But the videos inside the game have this static werid thing. Anyway to fix this?

It looks like SD is zen 2 cpu and SM is zen 4 cpu. SM supports CPUID faulting natively. Since SM just came out recently, there’s no HV bypass guide. Should I just follow the guide for SD? Would they behave the same when it comes to HV bypass on SteamOS?

What I've tried

I've added F1 25 to Lutris and have been experimenting with different Wine/Proton configurations.

I've also been looking into Denuvouwux / the Linux hypervisor approach, because I've seen other people mention it in relation to getting Denuvo-protected games working on Linux.

I found the guide about running the hypervisor without a pre-compiled Proton build, but I'm pretty lost about how all the components fit together, especially on an Intel CPU. A lot of the information I've found seems to be AMD-focused.

At the moment I'm not sure:

Which GE-Proton version/build I should use

Whether I need a specially patched Proton/Wine build

How the Denuvouwux/hypervisor component is supposed to integrate with Lutris

Whether there are Intel-specific requirements

What Lutris runner settings I should use

What logs are actually useful for diagnosing the problem

If anyone has F1 25 working on Linux with a similar Intel + NVIDIA setup, I'd really appreciate some guidance on the correct configuration.

As the title says.. I've been stuck trying to fix TLOU2 performance on my system described below. I thought it was an issue with the Fitgirl repack, but it's not.. I just tried the LinuxRulez version and it's still the same issue. I tried with Lutris on Proton GE, Proton Cachy, and Proton Experimental (both on lutris and through Steam). Also with the plain start script by LinuxRulez

The launcher and main menu work fine.. it's just when the game loads that the FPS is never higher than 3. I have looked into what's going on and I suspect it could be an issue with the game refusing to run on my dedicated GPU for some reason, even though it's set to that in the launcher (and I've tried doing prime-run and everything). The reason for this thought is that my GPU usage seems to be at most 60% even though the game is absolutely suffering, the temps are too calm as well.

I looked into the scripts LinuxRulez is using to run the game and made different tweaks and stuff. Tried to add prime-runs here and there, tried to change my Wine executable, tried to change into another prefix, tried everything I could think of and now I'm here asking for help. Has anyone had a similar issue or is it something weird on my system? All my other games work perfectly.. it's just this damn one. It ran fine on Windows as well on this same hardware.

I've searched reddit and other forums a lot for a similar issue. People seem to solve it with launch options and environment variables, basically all of which I've tried. If someone can point me in the right direction on what to look into next that would be very appreciated

Hi, i have downloaded Satisfactory from Steamrip using Hydra Launcher, and whenever i try to boot up the game i get the error:

"Failed to open descriptor file ../../../FactoryGameSteam/FactoryGameSteam.uproject".

I think this just means that the game files are corrupted, but alot i see some people saying that just applying some sort of crack fixed it for other UE games. I just want to ask here if there is anything i can do before just trying to install the game with another source like fitgirl or ankergames. I have checked and there is a few posts having the same issue as me but on other games, but i couldnt find a fix. Any help would be appreciated
