I made this to hopefully see a decline in redundant/daily posts, and make some sort of positive impact. Please remember to use the search function if you have a basic question regarding LSD.
• A full beginner dose should typically be 1/2 - 1 single tab.
• The average dose range of LSD on a single tab is 70-105μg.
• There are tabs dosed with as little as ~20μg, or more than 300μg in some absurd cases. The overwhelming majority of sources try to lay their tabs around 100μg because it’s mathematically simple, and more profitable in the long-run.
• The odds your tab has more than 200μg on it are very low. The most common higher dose tabs are 125-200μg. Take half of any tab that’s supposedly above 200μg just to be safe at first, and if that doesn’t at least produce an 11-12 hour mildly visual trip, the full tab wasn’t above 200.
• A typical microdose should be 10-25 μg
• 50-300μg of LSD can last anywhere from 8-14 hours. 300-1000μg can last anywhere from 14-20 hours. Exceeding a milligram (1000μg) can produce effects that last up to 24 hours. It’s usually hard to fall asleep under the influence.
• Unless you have an above average baseline tolerance or handle the substance extraordinarily well, it’s not advisable to exceed ~300-500μg. Temporary delirious/psychotic symptoms become more likely if you don’t know what you’re getting into with large doses, and a 16+ hour duration doesn’t help.
• 25i-NBOMe is a relatively dangerous LSD imposter. If you take an untested tab and your mouth/throat becomes numb, along with an intense bitter taste, spit it out immediately. Do not panic, but monitor your physical state. A *normal* dose of 25i shouldn’t be life-threatening. Most of the dangerous LSD imposters, including 25i, only become life-threatening at higher doses (this is why you should NEVER take multiple untested tabs at once, or take untested tabs at all).
• Please test your tabs with an Ehrlich reagent kit to verify that what you have is indeed an indole and not 25i-NBOMe. Follow up with the Hofmann reagent kit to verify that it’s not an LSD analogue or other phenethylamine. I personally recommend using TKP for your reagents: https://testkitplus.com/ Another great organization is DanceSafe https://dancesafe.org/ — DanceSafe genuinely saves lives with their testing booths at music festivals.
• Common positive effects include but aren’t limited to: closed and open eye visuals, tactile enhancement/hallucinations, euphoria, stimulation, introspection, and creativity.
• Common negative effects include but aren’t limited to: overstimulation, increased heart rate, vasoconstriction, anxiety/paranoia, and confusion.
• Common neutral/manageable effects include but aren’t limited to: pupil dilation, frequent urination, insomnia, and temperature sensitivity.
• Always optimize your set (expectations and mental state) going into an experience, and always optimize your setting (direct environment/surroundings) going into an experience.
• LSD interactions with various medications (From Erowid):
• HPPD risk is associated with frequent use of psychedelics (more than once a month), high doses, and younger age groups. HPPD varies in severity between individuals. As long as you use this drug responsibly, this shouldn’t be a concern.
• LSD has the potential to produce a very challenging psychological experience. If you have mental-health issues, research the risks and benefits associated with psychedelic treatment of your condition. Do NOT take LSD without the guidance of a medical professional if you are seriously suicidal.
• Weed often potentiates the effects of LSD. Some users report that the effects of weed are indefinitely altered to some degree after their first few experiences with LSD (It often becomes more psychedelic).
• Various benzos like alprazolam and clonazepam can be used as “trip-killers,” but you don’t need to take more than a single medical dose, and not all of the psychoactive effects will be negated. This should be a last resort.
• LSD tends to make verbal communication challenging, so prepare appropriately if using in a social setting.
• If you’re 19 or younger you should probably wait until AT LEAST your early 20s to try LSD because of unforeseen behavioral/neurological impacts. Waiting until 25+ is optimal.
• You’ll build a substantial tolerance to LSD if you trip multiple times in two weeks, so wait 10-14 days between trips for a general reset. Tolerance does exponentially decrease day-by-day following an experience.
• If you want to redose to increase the effects, do it before or during the start of the peak. Redosing after the peak will only prolong the duration unless you increase the dose. Excessive dosing is unadvisable regardless.
• Peak effects generally occur 2.5-5 hours after dosing (less than or around 300μg). Peak effects can last anywhere in the range of 2.5-8 hours after dosing. Many people say the peak comes in “waves.”
• If you’ve tried psilocybin containing mushrooms before, certain dosage calculators based on subjective effects and intensity equate ~2.5 grams of an average cubensis variety to ~100μg of accurately dosed LSD, but there are differences between the substances of course.
• You should consider having a trusted friend or a close partner “tripsit” you during your first experiences, or at least let someone know your whereabouts beforehand if you want to do it alone. (Note: Trip-sitting should just involve being close by and present if the user needs assistance or someone to talk to, sitters shouldn’t try to influence the trip unless it’s getting chaotic.)
• LSD has the potential to be therapeutic, recreational, spiritual, or all/none of the above depending on the individual and their particular circumstances. Stop gatekeeping.
•If you are ever having a challenging trip and need to speak with someone, here are a couple great resources:
Leave suggestions in the comments!
edit: A couple people are aggravated with minor details in these general points of advice, so please take everything I’ve said with a grain of salt and do your own research! I’m simply providing a helpful starting outline, not set-in-stone facts.
Thank you all, and safe travels!

Over exaggerating dosages is only harmful to the community and is much more prominent in LSD oriented communities when compared to other psychedelics. This is because you cannot simply weigh your dosages, like shrooms or DMT. 2c-b being another good example, where it usually comes in ranges of 15-30 milligrams or powder I believe. Most tabs of LSD contain 75-150 UGs of LSD, averaging more around 100. 100 micrograms of LSD is equal to around 2.5 grams of Psilocybe Cubensis. (The most commonly sold and cultivated "magic mushroom")
Starting with one tab after you've tested it is better than going headfirst into the deep end... Even at 100 micrograms it does add up quickly, would you recommend five grams of shrooms to a beginner? No difference in recommending them 200 micrograms of LSD (two average tabs). I really just don't understand the glory of taking larger dosages than we need. Look at r/Shrooms or other communities related to shrooms and you see this much less. Mainly to do with the ability to weigh them out I believe, but definitely many other factors. I don't know... Thanks for reading.

It was my first time taking acid. I woke up on the island I was camping on and wanted to take shrooms but after I found that we were running low, I decided to go for it and took a tab. The come up took about an hour and I got a nice body high at first. I sat down on the rocks with my chair and some chips. Two friends were tripping with me and three other friends were on shrooms. As the lsd started kicking in, I began to see patterns in things. The trees became more vibrant, my mood was incredible, and life was great. At this point I never thought anything could go wrong. There seemed to be an abundance of life in everything on earth. From the leaves and branches to the rocks and ground. Each part of my vision began to turn into fractals.
As the trip went on everything looked beautiful. I sat on the rocks and wandered through the island. Every thing I looked at had my full attention and I began to forget about everything around me. Looking into the rocks turned them into galaxies. I could peer deeper and deeper into the rocks. Then I would remember what’s around me and I would look somewhere else equally as captivating.
A few hours into the trip, another friend who was drunk came by with his machete. This was the scariest sight of the trip. He kept saying he was the trip advisor in his Spanish accent. But it seemed that every so often he would flip and turn into some machete wielding maniac. In the back of my mind I thought he might do too much and someone would get hurt. But I kept a positive attitude throughout.
I kept looking around the islands finding cool new things and eventually drank a bunch and smoked a bunch so I was also crossed towards the end. But all the fractals were amazing and I loved geeking out.
My favorite things to look at were trees, moss, rocks, and the stars towards the end. One of my friends on shrooms took too much and started to have a bad trip because of the drunk guy with the machete. So then I tried to coach him through it but he was stuck in a bad thought loop. The funniest part of the trip was as me and my two friends were exploring the island we kept going to more and more uncomfortable places. Now I think acid is my favorite drug surpassing mushrooms.
I’ll include a photo of my favorite tree I saw.

Hi I'll start by saying that my only experience with a psychedelic before was with 2CB, a year ago, and it was a wonderful experience for me. This year I decided that as soon as I felt ready I would take another trip - with a view to expanding and above all meditating on issues that are thorny for me (for example, my style of attachment, the fear of not being enough, my relationship with other substances like k and coke...). I went to a tekno and psytrance festival with a very dear friend of mine.good environment, good music, good people, we took circa 100 ug. I have to say the come up was strange, very long, physically demanding (my stomach was asking for mercy). Then it went up, I started having slight visual distortions and seeing brighter colors. Unfortunately, my friend didn't feel anything despite the medium-high dose ((Speaking with a harm reduction volunteer, she discovered that a medicine she takes for chronic pain inhibits the effects of this substance as well as others). I had an intense trip, which still comes back to me after two weeks. I expected it to be less introspective, but instead I immersed myself in my mind, with a little fear at first but I let myself go. I drew, I meditated (with my eyes closed I saw a lotus flower from which a feminine energy made of light came out, which wanted to be welcomed by me even though I was wary). I started writing everything that came out of my mind, drawing following the flow of my mind and body. Then the fun part of the trip began, where everything made me I laughed and laughed so hard that I washed away all the seriousness that usually characterizes my life. I danced when i felt to. Anyway, everything's ok, It goes away after about 8 hours, the festival continues, we stay another day and then go home. Two or three days later I actually started to process all the things that had been uprooted, which were already too much planted in my ways of being and doing. The absurd thing that I've noticed and talked about a lot with my best friend is that I feel like I'm approaching everything in a more thoughtful way. I've rediscovered a sense of community and belonging, and my bond with my family has improved. I feel much more secure than before. I feel like my vulnerability has been nurtured, it's like this Trip had removed a filter that I kept trying to avoid provoking reactions. In short, I'm spending days rediscovering myself in the good and the bad. And it all seems so new to me, I can't almost get used to it. But I'm loving this process.
(Sorry for my english i'm italian)

When consuming mushrooms / DMT, some people like to consume Syrian rue an hour or so beforehand to amplify the effects (because Syrian rue has MAOI compounds which make the trip stronger and last longer).
Apparently berberine (a compound found in the herb goldenseal) could theoretically inhibit the CYP2D6 enzyme which breaks down LSD.
Anyone have any experience with this (or want to be a guinea pig lol)? I’m considering experimenting with this.

Is this normal? ive taken acid multiple times, nothing exceeding 110ug, and ive taken half tabs before and i notice the difference between that and when i would take a full (obviously lol)
HOWEVER now, i took a quarter tab and it felt very visually intense like as if i took more. And then it happened again when i took a half, it felt like i took a full.
Is this because like my brain is just different now after experiencing acid and other types of drugs? Like something about being more aware? Idk. It could be that this batch is strong but the quarter and half felt the same

I've taken LSD quite a few times back in past 5 years ago, and all my trips were good until my last one, when I took a slightly higher dose than I usually did.
At first, everything was fine, just like my usual trips. The visuals started changing and everything looked beautiful, colorful, and vibrant. For the first 1–3 hours, I was having a good time watching cartoon Mr. Bean and Totally Spies.
Around the 4th hour, as I was approaching the peak, everything started getting more intense. While watching the cartoon, I felt like I was actually inside the world of Totally Spies. I started feeling disconnected from reality. At that point, I was still okay and could handle it because I was already familiar with tripping from my previous experiences. When there were footsteps sound in the cartoon, I could actually hear them as if the footsteps were happening in the world I felt like I was in.
Then came the peak, and everything became extremely intense. I felt completely disconnected from the real world and could no longer tell the difference between the real world and the world I was experiencing while tripping.
During the peak, which was something I'd never experienced on any of my previous trips, I started questioning everything. Since I felt so disconnected from reality, I didn't know whether the life I was experiencing at that moment was real or just part of the trip.
I started asking myself questions like:
"Which one is the real world?"
"Am I trapped in this world(trip)?"
"Am I going to be stuck in this 'world' forever?"
"Am I never going to come back to reality?"
Whenever these thoughts crossed my mind, the words themselves felt so much more intense. For example, the phrase "never going to come back" felt 100% real, like I genuinely wasn't going to return to reality because I can't distinguish which one is reality in that moment.
Then I reached a point where I felt like I didn't know who I was anymore. I honestly don't know how to explain this feeling. It was like I had died because I couldn't find my way back to the real world.
From there, I started questioning whether I was actually dead. "If I was dead, then what kind of life was I experiencing right now?"
Then I started wondering if I had somehow been reborn as a baby, or if I had gone insane.
At one point, I felt like I was free to choose what I wanted to become. "Am I become a crazy person right now?" A newborn baby? God? A prophet?
Like I mentioned earlier, certain words or thoughts became extremely intense, so when I thought about becoming a baby, it's going insane, becoming God, or becoming a prophet, it felt like I was actually becoming whatever I was thinking about.
After going through all of that, the peak eventually started to fade. I slowly regained some control, closed my eyes for a while, and control my breathe. Eventually, I became aware that I was back in the real world.
The peak felt like it lasted for about an hour. Then, during the transition from the peak to the comedown, it felt like less than an hour before the effects suddenly dropped off and I came back to my senses.
That's pretty much my experience.
I'm curious to hear what you guys think. Would you consider this a genuine ego death, or was it something else? Has anyone experienced something similar?
I'm just sharing my experience and looking to understand what happened from other people's perspectives. I haven't touched LSD in years since that experience, and I don't plan on taking it again 😆
Just to be clear, I'm not encouraging or promoting drug use in any way. I'm only sharing my past experience for discussion and educational purposes.

I've been experimenting with acid in between doses of 50ug-200ug, really interesting stuff, but like most I realised that it's often overwhelming for the stomach and body in general.
I'm confused on how trips with 300ug+ go since I heard you often can't even see anything that's in the real word and you go nonverbal.
What happens if I puke while laying on my back, will I choke or would I be sane enough to prevent that, I mean even just shitting my pants and sitting like that for 12 hours would be wild.
I also pee a lot while tripping and my body temperature stops functioning properly so how am I supposed to manage any of that if I'm out of my mind?

it makes so much sense, and i feel like its the reason why some people tend to go down the crazy entity and evil gods and insanity that can happen within psychedelic usage. the explanation of the balance of chaos and order that our brains try to find! just such a cool video, and is bringing a lot of helpful ideas on how to integrate experiences. just a great scientific view

Idk if the title makes sense lol I’m very new to psychedelics (tripped twice off acid a few more from shrooms) but say you have one tab, your trips gonna be around 12 or so rounded up hours. If you have 2 or 3 tabs does that extend your trip by say another 12 hours? Just wondering any help is appreciated!

On LSD I often grasp these what feels to me like insane "truths" and concepts that appear like they are true laws of the external Universe
But how much is it actual truths and how much is it just the LSD causing this feeling of profoundity in a single thought? Kinda hard to tell the diffrence sometimes
For example:
Las trip I got this insane realization that everything psychedelics do, is not tell you the truth but they instead strip away that wich is NOT the truth. And then I got this "insight" that life is all about bringing everyone together. Because we are actually all the same just lost in a mess of untruth.
Does that actually apply, or was this just me realizing my own lies I have been telling me falling away and seeing myself for who I actually am? And then "thinking" this must apply to everyone else too?
I hope you get what Im saying
It FEELS like its THE LAW
But how do we really know this is indeed THE LAW?
Help much appreciated!
Much love
