I really wanted to pre-order the Jollaphone, but I didn’t have the courage to make such a blind purchase. I was planning to change my phone by February, and after seeing a fairly positive review, I’m seriously considering it. Switching away from Android would be the final step in my deGoogling process, but there are only a few apps I truly need (WhatsApp, Telegram, and my banking app, but for that in te worst case I’m willing to use it via browser).

Any Finnish Jolla-owners here? Does anyone have experience about the most common android apps and how well they work in Sailfish?

Apps like Nordea/Nordea ID (or any other banking-apps), HSL-travelcard, mobilepay, VR matkalla-app?

I'm excited about my oncoming Jolla, but also a bit concerned about the inconveniences that might follow since our society is so reliant on different apps.

Personally I would choose cold hard cash and landlines in an app-free world, but that might not be an option so in order to partake in the functions of society I'd also like to be able to use these basic services without extra hassle.

I'm considering to order a Jolla phone but my online bank requires use of it's app for mfa and other stuff.

I have a question. With jolla being linux, is there some way to get the desktop steam version on the phone and play games with controller from like steam big picture mode?
I use Steam link like everyday but would be cool to be able to turn the phone "into a steamdeck" on planes and stuff when there is no internet.
If it isnt possible then why not?

I'm wondering if the Jolla phone will be able to install and run the kind of apps that normally requires pretty strict android to function.

Im talking banking apps. We have a thing called MitID which is a special kind of mfa that is used to digitally sign in when purchasing things, manage government logins etc.

The se aren't apps you can just get from third party app stores. But will these actually be possible to install android apps from the Google play?

Just a fair warning for anyone preordering from Jolla: they won’t refund your money if you cancel the preorder. I preordered the Jolla phone in December and paid about 94 €. Since then I got a really good deal on an iPhone Air so I wanted to cancel my preorder for the Jolla phone. Sent about 10 cancellation request through the form and support email. No reaction whatsoever. Tried to recover the payment through PayPal. PayPal declined since it’s been more than six months but suddenly someone from Jolla actually replied via email and asked for my bank account details so they could refund my payment. It’s been more than a month now and they still didn’t refund me.

I really don’t want to sue Jolla since I really like what they do. But the utter incompetence of their support leaves me no choice and so I will apply for a European payment order.

Conclusion: better don’t pay anything in advance at Jolla.

Since it’s July today, why haven’t I received a payment link, even though I made the payment in March 2026? Perhaps Jolla is getting ready to dispatch the order and has set the date for the end of July?

hello there! I’d like to try Jolla Sailfish, but I don‘t want to spend all that money for the jolla phone. What is the cheapest way to try the last jolla os? I’ve read that SFOS for xperia IV/V is not fully functional, so I’d like a device fully capable to run SFOS without any issue.

I use Magic Earth and Stegra.io as my navigation apps. Does anyone have experience running these on Jolla/Sailfish OS?

And does anyone know whether the Jolla Phone has an IP rating? In other words, is it at least splash/water resistant?

I pre-ordered a Jolla Phone for €99 a while ago and used the email address I’m writing from. I paid by card directly on their website (not PayPal) and have proof of payment, but:
• I never received any order confirmation
• I don’t have an order number at all
• I wrote to Jolla support twice and got no reply
Important detail: I made a mistake when ordering — I didn’t create an account beforehand. However, during checkout (when entering card details) the site also asked for my email, and I entered the same one I’m using now. Later I logged into the shop with this email, but there’s still no order visible in the account.
Is this normal for Jolla pre-orders, or does it look like something went wrong?
Has anyone else experienced the same thing?
Any advice on what I should do next would be really appreciated.

I'm looking to get a new phone or should I say a new OS for my phone. I don't really use my phone that much. Only for basic stuff, like mail, bank, 2FA etc. The only social meida that I've installed is Discord for the most interaction.

In my situation, I want to get my privacy back. So I want to use the less from GAFAM as possible. And I want a repairable smartphone, like Fairphone but the fact is there is only e/OS and the more I look for the more I don't trust them that much

So I've checked for some different OS. And there was only 2 or 3 conclusions.

• Graphene which is the more secure, if I see every comment around it. But I need to get a Google Pixel which isn't repairable (I mean easily because I could check Ifixit to do it).
• Jolla with Sailfish OS whose look like repairable but I don't find much stuff around the new model. And I would like to see more test before doing anytyhing else. And in my country, I'm somewhat vigilant especially with my banking app that are reported as A3 on the sailfish forum.
• CalyxOS for Fairphone 6 but needed to wait before doing the migration. The release didn't happen yet and there is no announcement.

So which would you recommend? I'm a bit lost with all the offer even if they are low, they are slighlty different to make me doubt.

I've been trying for more than 2 weeks to reach anyone at Jolla to find out about the state of my pre-order, but I've not yet received any reply. Is total lack of communication to be expected from Jolla? This is extremely disappointing given how they market themselves as driven by community values, because treating your customers like non-existing doesn't really convey the message. Any help would be appreciated.

I wanted to buy a Jolla smartphone. I saw that a new version is coming out in October:

1- Is it an easily repairable smartphone?

2- Is the manufacturer's support and after-sales service good?

3- Does it allow you to share your internet connection with other devices? (I travel a lot, and this is essential.)

4- Does it allow you to use banking apps or authenticators like Microsoft's without any problems? (I use my phone for work to pay and protect many of my accounts.)

5- Does it support Android Auto?

6- Does it have a charging limiter and bypass charging?

This is such a stupid question but the computer says no, what is it that I'm doing wrong here?

​Follow-up: Sent a direct email to support after a few days without news.

​Status: Still no response or acknowledgment as of today.

​Does anyone know the current average response time for Jolla support, or if there's a better channel to reach them (e.g., a specific email address, Zendesk, or forum section)?

I was supposed to finalize my second payment today but I did not receive any email from the shop so far. The shop says my payment is overdue and there's no way for me to proceed.

I was looking at the forum but it seems there is no clear guide from the Jolla team, apart from the fact they suggested to finalize payment by the 20th of September.

Now, today is Sunday and I guess the Jolla team was aware of it when they fixed this deadline, also considering payments are not usually processed on Sundays.

But does anyone know anything about how the final payment will be managed?

Anyone else in the same situation?
