Solo dev, my first game. Every night at 3:03 someone knocks on your door. Through the peephole there's a hood and no face. He wants to play a game: you step away, he changes one thing in your apartment, and you have to find it before he comes in.
There's also a cat named Tisha. You can feed him.
Free, about an hour, five endings, Windows and Mac. Out October 16 on itch.io.

Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out this boss fight! I’ve put a lot of work into balancing it so it feels rewarding, not frustrating.
If you enjoyed this and want to support a solo dev, wishlisting the game on Steam would mean the world to me 💙

I wanted to make a game with the tension of survival horror with the replayability of a roguelike. A year and a half later, my first solo dev project will be available for free on Steam on October 27.
Please check out the trailer above, and wishlist it on Steam if you're interested.

I'm working after hours on an Arkanoid-inspired game with paddle upgrades, random elements, and boss fights. The project is still evolving and I honestly don't know where it'll end up yet. Let me know what you think of this direction!

I’ve been working on a game called Phosphor Command, a real-time tactics game with a base builder behind it.
This post is about how your squads move together: formations, the formation designer, and AUTO, which lets the game command your squads for you.
Without a formation, if you select a group and click somewhere, your squads bunch up around that point and all end up coving the same area. This is acceptable early on and for getting from A to B, but the game has a line of sight system, so whatever your squads aren’t looking at is somewhere the enemy can come from there.
The formation bar gives set formations; FREE, LINE, WEDGE and COLUMN, plus any formations you’ve designed yourself.
A formation decides where each squad ends and how they move around the point you click. Each squad finds its own path there, so they work their way around the terrain rather than walking through walls, they attempt to keep a perfect shape.
There’s also a SYNC toggle. With SYNC on, the group moves at the pace of its slowest squad, so on open ground they move as a block. With it off, faster squads like scouts will run ahead on their own. Sometimes that’s what you need, and sometimes it’s how you end up with a dead scout.
The formation designer is the part I’ve spent the most time on. You can edit LINE, WEDGE and COLUMN, and there are four custom slots you can rename. Each formation can have multiple positions on a grid.
Each position can accept any squad, or be marked for a specific troop type. Marked positions are filled first by the nearest squad of that type, then the remaining squads fill the gaps, nearest first. If you bring more squads than there are positions, the extras form ranks behind.
So you can build a wedge with a scout on point, snipers on the flanks and a medic in the middle, and the game puts the right squads in the right places whenever you use it.
You can also lock a facing for each position, in 45 degree steps relative to the direction of travel. This means a rear squad can keep watching behind you, or your flanks can keep watching outwards, while the group moves. The editor previews each position’s field of vision, so you can see whether your formation actually covers all around or leaves a blind spot.
Now let me explain "Auto Mode".
AUTO is for when you want to hand over the thinking of your troops and let the game run the operation for you. It has two stances.
CLEAR sweeps the map sector by sector, starting from where you landed and working back and forth across it. A sector counts as cleared once your squads have made sure there are no hostiles. The force splits into multiple fire teams that take the next two sectors, and if the teams get too far apart, one holds while the other catches up.
RUSH goes straight for the most recent contact.
If the objective is known, both auto modes direct troops towards it.
Under AUTO, every squad type has a role. Scouts take point, snipers hang back on high ground, medics stay near the centre of the force, and the UAV pushes out ahead of the sweep. A squad that drops below 35% health falls back to the medic and rejoins once it’s back to 70%.
When in combat squads with a shot hold and look to cover to fight rather than walking into the enemy. If one fire team gets pinned down by two or more enemies, the other team moves to flank.
The thing I cared about most was that AUTO should never fight you for control. The moment you give any order, or press hold, AUTO switches off and you’re back in charge. So you can let it handle the sweep, step in when something goes wrong, and switch it back on when you’re done.
One thing to be clear about: AUTO doesn’t use your formations. It moves squads by their role instead. Formations are for when you’re the one in control.
I’ve attached a show case showing on these features. The formation bar, the designer, facing, how squads are assigned to positions, and AUTO working through a map. The sector grid in the AUTO section is drawn for the video to show how the sweep works; in the game you just see your squads doing it.

Game Title: AVXRPG
Playable Demo Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5105260/AVXRPG/
Platform: Windows
Description: AVXRPG is a 2D top-down action RPG built around short runs from a home town. Each stage has its own town, and the dangerous land outside it. You gear up, pick a run (a quick Scout, a longer Mission, or a boss Assault), and head out.
Combat is close and fast: move, swing, dash, and dodge enemy attacks. Between fights you gather wood, stone, and berries, because your gear comes from what you bring home, not from leveling up. Back in town you forge equipment with random stat rolls, so you can keep re-forging for a better sword, then enchant it and brew potions for the next run.
Complete a stage’s quests to unlock the next town, with tougher enemies, elite variants with their own twists, and a new boss.
The demo is between 30m-1h. I'm a solo dev and almost nobody outside my friends has played it yet, so I'd really love some honest feedback.
Free to Play Status:
Involvement: I’m the solo developer. I designed and programmed the game myself, in my spare time. The art is mostly built on the Ninja Adventure asset pack, plus sprites I made for it.

Hey everyone! I'm making ROOM CLEANER, a top-down roguelite where one bullet kills you and one bullet kills them. You kick doors, throw barrels, grab robots as human shields and stack cards until your build breaks the game.
It's free and runs in the browser on PC and mobile: https://spals.itch.io/room-cleaner
I just pushed update 1.5, the biggest one so far:
I'd really appreciate any feedback, but especially:
AI disclosure: The cover art, the game code and some of the in-game text were generated with AI.
Thanks for playing!

Seven years ago we launched Chef in Early Access. It was our first big project and we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We took a big debt and put everything we had on the line to make it happen.
The game was rough during the initial months, but people still loved it. Youtubers played it and broke the game in the most ridicolous way possible.
Now we finally hit the milestone: 100'000 copies sold! We can't thank you enough for all the support you gave us and are still giving.
This means the world to us. Our next game, Dustgrave, is still some way off from 1.0, and it hasn't been selling much during development. Thankfully, Chef is still bringing in enough to help us keep working on it and give our small studio a future.
To thank the community, we're releasing Update 2.0, just in time for Steam Cooking Fest (October 12–19).
Here you'll find the changelog!
Anyone here been playing since Early Access? If you give it a try during the Cooking Fest, let us know what you think!

so this is Alison is Missing. you're looking for your sister in an old asylum in 1987, and the doctor who ran the place is still there. he's not a monster type, more like a calm guy who really wants you to stay lol
it's mostly hide and seek. he checks lockers and beds, hears you, and if he saw you run into a room he'll break the door down to get you. no weapons, you just hide and run
everything in the trailer is real gameplay, and the music is mine too
demo should be out for next fest in feb. would love to hear what you think, honestly any feedback, thanks a lot!

Hi! I’m a solo developer and this is PitchPin, a daily game in the spirit of Wordle and GeoGuessr.
How it works:
It’s free, with no sign-up and no ads, and it works on phones.
If you don’t follow cricket, the city and country are often guessable from the question, so you can still score. I’d love to hear how it feels for non-cricket fans.
I’d really appreciate honest feedback: anything confusing, broken, too hard or too easy. There’s also a Feedback button in the game.
GenAI disclosure: No. PitchPin does not use GenAI to function; its gameplay is based on identifying stadiums and placing map pins.

Hey everyone, I made this game called Rollbound.
It is a roguelite inspired by Balatro using dice.
In short, it is basically Balatro but using dice instead of cards, and it has some interesting twists and level progression.
This game has a free trial and a one-time $4.99 unlock for the full game; there are no ADs ever.
Give it a play on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wldigital.rollbound
Coming soon on iOS!!!
