I spent way too long making a game about punching blocks to find one box

Hey all, this is my first game, Find the Box. Its a small game intended to be relaxing, but can also be played to speedrun if thats more your thing.

There’s a huge cube made of blocks, there’s one box hidden somewhere inside it, and you have to punch your way through to find it. If punching gets old you can level up as you dig and unlock spells and perks to tear through the cube faster. There are global leaderboards too.

Theres a few game modes which vary the cube size (from 1M to 8M) and objectives (find the box vs just clear a % of the cube). All working with seeds.

It comes out on Steam on November 4th. If it looks like your kind of thing, a wishlist would mean a lot. Hope you enjoy it, and I’m happy to answer anything in the comments. Also always open to feedback, obviously still have a lot to learn!

Disclosure: AI was used for localization only.

Tidy-up game with use-based progression and sorting Animal Cubes

Hey everyone!

I want to share a game where you find yourself in a dream and have to put all the Animal Cubes back in their places - Animal Cubes: Tidy Up Dreams

There will be 120 animal species, 6344 cubes in total, and only one shelf per species.

I’d especially like to highlight the progression system. I decided to drop earning money for placing items. Instead, each ability has its own requirements - it levels up only through actions related to that ability.

For example:

  • while you move, you level up Movement Speed, and after a certain number of steps your level increases;
  • to level up Inventory, you need to place items correctly; perks will have their own separate requirements.

After playing similar games and reading player feedback, I wanted to make this one more comfortable:

  1. You can make a mistake and put an item on the wrong shelf. But there will be red ghost hints, and items won’t get a bounce on an incorrect shelf.
  2. Inventory progression will include an Auto-Sort ability - once your inventory gets too large, placing items should feel much easier.
  3. Camera settings: you can turn off effects like camera sway, or increase FOV to feel more comfortable.

No AI is used in the game itself - all assets and content are handmade. I only plan to use AI for translating text into different languages.

I'm a solo dev and made an idle tower defense where your cannon visually evolves with every upgrade

Hi r/IndieGaming! SPIRE is my solo project: one tower in the middle, endless waves from every side, and you decide what to upgrade.

What I focused on:

- The cannon changes as you upgrade it. Damage, speed, crit and multishot each add visible parts (extra barrels, fins, a scope), and each bullet leaves from its own barrel.

- Every tier adds an enemy with its own mechanic: mirrors that reflect damage, pulsars whose EMP slows your fire rate, nebulas that re-form after death, carriers that launch drones.

- Long-term goals: workshop, lab, cards, 2-week events with relics, and weekly tournaments.

- All art is drawn procedurally in code. No AI-generated assets.

It's free on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spire.game

I'd really like feedback on the first 10 minutes. Is the early game clear, and what would you upgrade first?

What kinds of items do you enjoy in ARPGs?

Hey everyone, I’ve been working on the unique items in Poets of Noor, my ARPG, and wanted to get your thoughts. The video shows some that are currently in the game.

What makes a unique feel special to you? Does it need a mechanic that changes how you play or opens up a new build? Or do you also enjoy finding one that just makes your existing build stronger?

I’m curious if there’s still room for more straightforward uniques like some of Diablo 2’s, or if you expect every unique to bring its own gameplay twist.

What’s an example of a unique you loved finding, and why? Would love feedback on the items in the video, too.

[Browser, Free] CrazyGames rejected my game twice for "overall quality" – can you tell me what's wrong with it?

Game Title: The Weapon Remembers

Playable Link: The Weapon Remembers - Playable link

Platform: Web browser (desktop and mobile).

Description:

The Weapon Remembers is a free top-down action roguelite that runs in your browser, with no download and no sign-up. You play Iria, who carries Nera, a living weapon that has forgotten what it was. Nera watches how you fight (aggressive, evasive, precise or crowd-control) and evolves into one of six forms to match your style. When you die, the weapon remembers how, and that death becomes a mutation for your next run. There are guardian bosses, several regions and a hub to return to between runs. Controls: WASD to move, Space to dash, Q for the weapon's ability, R for the ultimate; Nera attacks on its own. Mobile has a virtual joystick and buttons, and a gamepad works too.

I submitted it to CrazyGames for their Basic Launch and it was rejected twice with only this reason: "The overall quality of the game does not yet meet the expectations of our platform." I can't see what they saw, so I'd love your blunt feedback. Does it look and feel like a finished game? What is the first thing you notice that feels weak? Was anything unclear, too small, too busy or boring? Please tell me your device and browser if you hit bugs or lag.

Apparently, making an open-world Souls-like with 2 people is a terrible idea. Here's what we've built so far.

We've been working on Eternal Blade for a couple years now, and we finally released our demo!
Its main inspiration pillars are Elden Ring, Sekiro and Stellar Blade.

We love when on a game you have the freedom to roam around the world and forget about the main quest, or maybe only do the main quest, or just go kill hunt for bosses, treasures and get stronger as you go, and we implemented that exact freedom on our game.

Its main gameplay mechanic is the parry and the ability to parry by switching weapons, each weapon has its own abilities that can be used by consuming power, that can only be acquired through combat, so it is such a satisfying combat loop when you master it.

We know we still have a lot to improve and need to cook for more time. But it is not an impossible achievement to build an open world as an indie, we already have quite a variety of npc's and story on the demo, and will be implementing more side quests too, as long as making the world filled with even more exploration POIs.

If you like Souls-like and specially any of the games we mentioned inspired us, consider giving Eternal Blade a shot, its been so long and we finally have enough content (2h of gameplay) for other people to play.

Hey everyone!

We're the team behind Crimson Frontier: Youth, a hand-drawn sci-fi visual novel about choices, relationships, and finding your own path.

Adam grew up in the shadow of his father's legacy. But following someone else's expectations isn't always the same as becoming who you want to be.

Throughout the story, you'll face difficult decisions, navigate friendships and rivalries, and shape the person Adam becomes.

We've just released our FREE DEMO on Steam, and we'd love for you to experience the beginning of his story!

🎮 Play the free demo:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4486770/Crimson_Frontier_Youth/

We're especially interested in hearing what you think about the characters, the art style, and the choices.

If you could decide your own future, would you follow your family's expectations or choose a completely different path?

Hate AI companies? Now you can run one... AI Lab Tycoon is a lighthearted game about the AI industry. Demo is out now!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm an engineer in the ML/AI space who plays a lot of simulation/tycoon games, and I always thought the competitive dynamics of AI companies would make a fun tycoon game. So I made one, and the demo is now live on Steam for Windows, Mac and Linux.

You start off alone in your mom's garage with a $200K venture check and make decisions to grow into a dominant frontier lab. You compete against rival labs for market share in a deep simulated economy, react to regulators, manage public perception, hire superstar talent, and a lot more.

Demo on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5015590/AI_Lab_Tycoon/ (the "Download Demo" button is in the right sidebar). Full release is November 18, 2026.

I'd love feedback on the demo, especially on what feels slow or confusing and what would make you keep playing.

AI disclosure: AI was used only to help write a limited subset of the code (boilerplate). All art and other assets are created by humans (me and several artists).

Gacha shop simulator - trying our best to create a good game with small team

Hi everyone! We are a small team, and we made a sim game about running your own little shop with blind boxes, comics, manga and collectible figures. You will open a tiny store and grow it from there: buy new licenses, fit the place out the way you like, and host events to bring people in.

Our new demo is out - see how much of the collection you can put together, new secret figures included!

We really love to hear your feedback, and thank you for taking the time.
