Discussion That dog didn't attack, didn't do anything. Cruelty like this is simply ignored everyday.. it's on the parents for promoting this and not teaching empathy to the kid. Parents simply smiled and walk away !

Such an idiot and now they are okay with their own kid doing cruelty. Go and teach your kids how to be kind with every kind!
Shame on his parents

I have a genuine question why do kids do that
41
u/raindropsonme17 Jul 22 '26
they probably see their parents doing the same. or probably children carry the same hatred since birth that their parents hold towards animals.
10
u/Indian_Steam Jul 22 '26
They lack the emotional maturity and empathy which is ok.
But this is something their parents and teachers must teach... and most importantly: demonstrate in their behaviour.
Thisnboy probably say his elders do something similar or saw them reacting positively to something someone else did, and they subconsciously associated that as "dog, hit him, pain, father smiles, fun"
6
u/phoenixandunicorn Jul 22 '26
Young kids have no moral compass, thats the reason parents/teachers/guardians are supposed to teach them to differentiate right from wrong.
16
u/BadChad09 Jul 22 '26
Just fear of animals, its parents responsibility to correct this behaviour.
8
u/Obvious_Support223 Jul 22 '26
Ain't fear. The kid's action was towards an animal that didn't provoke him in the slightest. This is just callous behaviour, that they saw from their parents.
→ More replies (4)2
u/flo_ra Jul 22 '26
If he feared, he should have just stayed away. If i fear the bear, i won't poke it.
4
u/not__not__know-- Jul 22 '26
Cause they don't know shi. They are ever curious about any and everything.
They will happily go with kidnapper if not taught to avoid them.
The kid here obviously mimicked something he has seen before. But he doesn't understand that it's to be used at specific times only.
This is where parents come in... But ooh well..
People need to realise kids this age are not stupid but uninformed...

Yep. Because he doesn't think it's wrong. Do you remember there was a viral video doing the rounds a few days ago, where an Indian family trashed a restaurant in some other country, because their kid was asked not to throw napkins. That's how a lot of these parents behave - they think their kid is "just being a kid." And this comes from the fact that they behave like that themselves. It's a chain.

Nothing ever happens to such people, after SC verdict there were posts and videos of unbelievable animal cruelty all in the name of saving human lives, even while hitting leashed dogs to death, so much video proof was there, nothing happened. Psychopaths validated each other's actions and carried on cruelty beyond belief.
Now if the child ever marries below caste/class/different religions or same gender, the family might lose face. Waiting for that day 🤞
P.S. a old women killed 6 puppies in our street, threw of them on train tracks, two by beating to death and one by dropping repeatedly from height. Her daughter ran off with someone and since then she is silent.

Should’ve been there I would’ve done the same to the kid.. I’ve done something similar before.. a drunk guy was beating an old dog in front of a wine shop. I was in a car, stopped the car, got down, collected a crowd and called the cops on the drunk guy. The poor dogs paws were swollen and nobody was doing anything to stop him!

Money doesn't buy class, and why the cameraman is not reacting ( maybe there's more to this video) but atleast if someone does it in front of you, don't have a second thought to call em out publicly, and CHECK ON THAT ANIMAL irregardless.

Bhai literally I was walking my dog one day and a mother with her son came to pet him.
Her mother told this anecdote how the 5 year old threw stones at strays while laughing I cringed so hard on that and took my dog away
I lowkey wished my dog would have barked at that kid.

When the dogs finally retsliate, they post pictures of their shitty children sadly sitting with a bandage and sad music/captions that make the dog sound like mindless murderous beasts. They conveniently forget to tell hoe their kid harassed the animal. Kicked it, throwing stuff, stepping on them, etc.
This whips orther parents into a frenzy. Sure, their kids are breathing in toxic air, going to school in unsafe buses, poisoned food, whatever. But dogs? They're somehow vicious beasts waiting to maul their precious beta Tattu and that somehow means they need to be genocided?
Obvious this isn't always true. A lot of kids get mauled when they're not at fault.

innocent kids being bitten by rabid dogs?
Parents are wholly responsible for not reprimanding the kid.

u/LowRemove2510 Jul 22 '26
I did this shit a lot when I was a kid, I did those things to cat and dogs. My parents always scolded me for doing such things but now days I am the one who protects this animals. So I think the kid is simply immature and everyone here should think about that part as well.

Is that connaught place? Dastardly behaviour. I grew up in this area, and always saw fat dogs sprawled across corridors unmolested and people/families/large groupd always waking around them carefully.
The last time I saw something like this (was at the park), I yelled so much at the kid and his father that even Jamun bared her teeth, and that's a really scary sight.
The kid started bawling at that and the father got super defensive and a little aggressive, but quietly muttered sorry and buggered off when he saw an entire football team was looking at him, waiting for him to say/do something nasty so that they could pounce on him. 😤
Most folk are apologetic right away when confronted (maybe not like I did), but they need to be told that this behaviour is wrong and should be checked on the spot and sternly.

Empathy and civic sense for the same species is basic
Empathy for other species is considered higher intelligence
Guess how intelligent are humans and animals

How the hell can the parents be okay with their child's behaviour! I believe with my whole being that only a child raised with empathy and respect for other beings, human and otherwise, can get the same or even more empathy and respect from others as they grow up.

A tight slap should have been given...their parents will regret very soon...all of this "soft parenting" is just bullshit...Spare the Rod and Spoil the child....
This is an old proverb. Mostly it is the mummies of today who restrain the father when he seeks to punish and teach the child... And look at the kid's hair? I mean who dyes a kid's hair at that age??
Children make mistakes, do Wrong Things, but they must Be Taught that what they have done is wrong, must be made to learn....this sort of tacit encouragement is very very detrimental, both to the child, the parents, society etc etc ....
A certain degree of discipline/harshness, especially when children commit mistakes, is very very needed.
