Help Can you put up posters on telephone poles?

I was thinking of taping up flyers for a political event ("No Kings When the Dealer Has an 8, 9, or 10") in LDP. I know that in some states, police will hassle you for doing so, but in others no one cares. Is there an actual ordinance in LDP that you can or cannot tape up posters on telephone poles? Would there be local ordinances regulating that that people know of? I looked it up online but couldn't find anything.

I've been doing it that way for ages. I don't think there are any laws about that. When I was living in Europe, everybody did it that way. They even had specific installations they put up to hang posters on. They call them Litfasaule I think. One time my good friend Friedrich got stuck inside one when he tried to impress some ladies. I wonder where he's now. Anyways, good luck with the event. Do you need somebody to man the grill?

Great. I can bring some bratwurst. I get them cheap from a friend over in Mayville. Did you know that in certain cultures, it is considered an offense to eat them with mustard? They say it covers the real taste of bratwurst. I've always prefered it that way, but I'll bring a bucket anyways. Just make sure to hide it so nobody causes a scene.

I printed out a few copies of the ordinance and put it on the telephone poles up and down main so you can have a chance to read it. Wasn’t sure which one you would be closest to

There is an ordinance prohibiting it on Main St, or directly in front of the entrance of any business, and it cannot be obscene. I'd recommend against tape because the wind will blow it right off! Use a stapler. BEST -Tom

I don’t know about the law, but last time I put posters up for my Fourth of July sourdough sale some hooligans ripped it down and called me fat for baking bread

One small request from the local artist: please don't staple or nail posters to living trees. They have feelings too.
