Someone explain to me how a show like this can go from absolute peak that is seasons 1 through 3 to absolute dogshit that is the final episode of season 7.. I'm trying to be hopeful and optimistic because I'm a huge Flash fan but I don't know how much longer I can force myself to continue watching the show after the bullshit they pulled at the end of season 7. It feels like I'm torturing myself at this point.

The first two seasons were absolute peak, season 3 was good but could be better, season 4 was where I started to realize Barry was being nerfed more than ever. Like I know Devoe is a super genius but he's still human, he shouldn't be able to defeat a speedster in any capacity, especially considering that the Flash can technically outsmart him due to his speed. This was my only issue, but nothing to make me stop watching the show.

Then season 5 came, and I'm not gonna lie, at first I thought Cicada was a badass villain but at some point in the show, I lost interest in this villain and I only stayed for Nora (maybe I'm just optimistic, but I don't think she's a bad character, she's actually one of my favorites.) because I found her character entertaining and amusing. Season 6 was decent, Bloodwork was a pretty cool villain, not gonna lie, and having Barry become Dark Flash was really cool too but it's a shame it was short-lived, I loved the concept of an evil Flash. I didn't really care much for Crisis, although I do miss all the different versions of Dr. Wells, so I was obviously disheartened by their deaths, as they were among my favorite characters in the show. The Mirrorverse arc was decent but I think it could've been better. Season 7 was okay-ish? maybe a worse than that, honestly I don't know, I think Godspeed is an interesting character and they should've done more with his character though. It sucks that Cisco left Team Flash though, that part stung, he was like my top 3 favorite characters right next to Barry and Caitlin. And speaking of Caitlin, the separation of Frost and Caitlin was unexpected but I don't mind it, I think it was a pretty "cool" change, pun intended.

I'm on the first episode of season 8 right now, and I heard that the Armageddon arc is the only good part about this season, then afterwards, it goes back to being dogshit as usual. I just wanted to know what other people thought, hopefully I'm not alone in thinking the creators really fumbled the bag with this one. The Flash could've been one of the greatest shows of all time fr, it's a shame to see what it has become. The downfall of what was once an amazing show really needs to be studied, like how do you fumble THIS badly that you have to resort to pulling out shit straight outta Star Wars?

I do want to know how much worse S8 and S9 will get before I decide to continue though (I heard S8 is about Reverse Flashpoint, but I'm not sure what S9 is about). I don't mind the spoilers, the show pretty much already ruined any remaining hope that I had left in it.

It's been a while since I've visited CW Flash but if there's one thing I remember it's that some of the episode titles sounded really cool so what are some of your favorites?

We’ve seen a lot of relationships on the show with Barry and iris, Joe and Cecile, Ronnie and Caitlin and etc… I wanted to ask y’all in your opinion, which characters did you want to see in a relationship and tell me why?

So that. Thats what Eddie should've done!

I just watched season 3 episode 1, but I’m confused. What’s the point in fighting zoom in the first place if he’s just gonna go back in time and save his mom, which would have prevented zoom from ever getting to earth 1? No spoilers please.

Barry’s inconsistent power level is probably my biggest problem with the later seasons

I’m rewatching The and I think the biggest thing I have to ignore to enjoy the later seasons is how ridiculously inconsistent Barry’s speed becomes.

By the later seasons, Barry is essentially a god. We’ve seen him enter Flashtime, move while a nuke is basically frozen, and fight speedsters like Thawne at insane speeds. Yet somehow a few episodes later he can get hit by someone who realistically shouldn’t even be able to perceive him moving.

I understand that Barry can’t instantly defeat every villain or there wouldn’t be a show, but I wish they found better ways to challenge him instead of constantly forgetting how powerful they established him to be.

The finale is probably the worst example.

They bring back Zoom, Savitar, Godspeed and Thawne, which should have been the ultimate payoff to nine seasons of Barry becoming stronger. These are villains who were terrifying when Barry originally fought them, but Season 9 Barry should be FAR beyond the Barry they fought in their respective timelines.

Instead of finally showing us just how powerful Barry had become and letting him take on his greatest speedster enemies, they split them up among Team Flash and have characters like Cecile and Khione defeat villains who once required everything Barry had just to survive.

Are Cecile is going back to previous seas9ns and beating Godspeed? And Caitlen against Zoom😂😭

Imagine if the finale had Barry fight all of them himself. Zoom, Savitar, Godspeed and Thawne attack him together, and we finally see that the Barry Allen from Season 9 is on an entirely different level from the kid they used to terrorize.

It would have been such a perfect way to show how far he had come.

I love this show, especially those first few seasons, but man did the power scaling get ridiculous.

devoe with all the bus metas powers versus thanos with all the stones, considering the flash team only won due to his wife, do you think he’d have a chance against thanos?

Hi! This is my first time posting on here, so I don't know if there is a specific subreddit for this kind of stuff. I'm looking for any Elseworld like stories that may be out there. Stuff like, Iris being the one in the know in Season 1 instead of Joe, or a Fanfic that follow the original timeline before Thawne screws it up by killing Barry's Mother, or just any Elseworld like fic that may be out there, I'd love to read them. I know that Fanfiction has a, well deserved, bad reputation but if anyone has anything like what I'm describing, then I'd love to have them.

Cheers!

Might be stupjd but yk

S1-S5 Eobard was one of the best written villians on tv. He was cold, calculative and always felt one step ahead against everyone in the show. One thing I loved about him is how he seemed to care for Team flash in his own twisted way, yet despite that, it didn’t stop him from doing what he had to do.

Now when he first appears in S6 something feels off about him. He gets Cisco in a room alone then tries to strangle him? This scene never made sense because 1. He should’ve immediately notice he had no connection to the Negative Speed Force
2. Why would he try to kill Cisco when his goal is to return home? Wouldn’t it be smarter to pretend to be Nash until he regains control over his Speedforce again?
He also talks about wanting to slit Barry’s throat and kill all his friends which also sounds out of character for him because again, he just wants to go home. Now as the series progressed he got more cartoonish and erratic showing no resemblance to the calculative, patient villian we all saw in the previous seasons.

I need to hear peoples thoughts on how they felt abt ralphs disappearance
I know why he was fired but i dont think it was fair
I like the character elongated man so much in this show and he was like the perfect side kick for the flash i feel the fact that they made him a “soul protector” of central city and just got rid of him was bit to far just for some tweets in 2014
Also MIRROR MONARCH WAS AHHHHHHHHH i hate her like she was fine just fine until the fights and everything AND HOLDING HANDS ? like omfg talk abt flash using speeches to win fights like this one was number 1 speech to win a fight absolute bs

Grant Gustin, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, and John Wesley Shipp were there. Melissa Benoist was supposed to be there but couldn't make it to the show today.

So I ordered one of the custom flash rings and i ordered it a size to small and it fits loosely on my pinky but i want to wear it on my ring finger, it is a size 9 and i need a size 10, any tips to make it bigger or anything of sorts?

From S5- S7

Joe took Barry in when he was eleven, making him Barry’s foster parent. When Barry turned eighteen, he was no longer Joe’s legal responsibility, but Joe continued to care for him because he loved him like a son.

Barry and Iris are not adoptive siblings because Joe never legally adopted Barry. They aren’t step-siblings because Joe never married one of Barry’s parents, and they aren’t half-siblings because they share no biological parent. They were raised together, but that doesn’t automatically make them siblings.

And no, Barry and Iris are not incestuous. They aren’t biologically related. You can find their relationship uncomfortable because they grew up together, but that’s different from calling it incest.

The Flash vs. Red Death (9x05), shooting lightning like iron man blasts, Barry having a physical captain america shield of lighting, and this disgrace of a a SPIDER-MAN WEB SLING OUT OF LIGHTING. Eric Wallace should be banned from Hollywood.
