How do you manage your packages on EndeavourOS?
pacman, yay, parusudo pacman -Syu and hope for the bestWhat's your weapon of choice?
I’m just curious if there are any other GUI package managers being developed. But maybe text mode is more than enough.

Hi everyone,
I have an old Chromebook with only 2GB RAM and 16GB eMMC storage, and I’m thinking about installing EndeavourOS on it.
I know the hardware is very limited, so I’m mainly concerned about performance and screen tearing.
If EndeavourOS is usable on this hardware:
Which desktop environment or window manager would you recommend?
Would XFCE, LXQt, or something even lighter be a better choice?
What kind of tasks could I realistically do on this Chromebook?
Would it be usable for web browsing, YouTube, writing, coding, or other lightweight tasks?
How much storage does EndeavourOS realistically need on a 16GB eMMC?
Are there any known issues with graphics drivers or screen tearing on Chromebooks?
Would you recommend EndeavourOS at all, or should I use a lighter distro such as Lubuntu, antiX, MX Linux, Debian, or something else?
My main priorities are performance, low RAM usage, and ideally no screen tearing.
I don’t really care about having a fancy desktop environment.
Has anyone here tried running EndeavourOS on similar low-end Chromebook hardware?
What setup would you recommend?

I’m getting a bit tired of seeing all the “OK” messages scrolling across the screen every time I boot EndeavourOS 😂
Is there a way to replace the boot messages with a clean, animated splash screen like Zorin OS has?
I’m using EndeavourOS with KDE Plasma. I’d love to make the boot process look more polished.
Any guides or recommendations would be appreciated!

Hi everyone,
I’m currently using EndeavourOS with XFCE, and I’m looking for a GUI software manager similar to the one in Zorin OS Lite.
What I really like about Zorin’s software store is that I can search for an application and install it from different sources through one interface, including Flathub.
For EndeavourOS, I’d ideally like something that can:
• Browse and install Flatpak/Flathub apps
• Install packages from the AUR using yay
• Search both sources from one GUI
• Ideally handle updates/removal as well
Is there a software manager that can do something like this on EndeavourOS XFCE?
I’ve looked at a few options, but I’m not sure which one can integrate both Flatpak + AUR properly.
Thanks!

My pc:
Cpu: intel i5 4570
Ram: 8gb
Gpu: Intel HD 4600
Storage: 500gb HDD
Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma
I am a web and mobile app developer, I use Google Antigravity as my IDE. I am feeling that my pc is getting slow while I am working on it. The browsing is slow, even while writing this my code is compiling for previous 7-10 minutes. I don't know what is causing this.

I’m about to start using Linux full time on my personal work notebook and I’m considering EndeavourOS as my main distro.
My stack/workflow is mostly:
I also spend a lot of time with:
I really like the Arch ecosystem, AUR, customization and setups like Hyprland/KDE + advanced dotfiles/workflows.
At the same time, this will be a real work machine, so reliability matters more than aesthetics.
For people using Linux professionally:
I don’t mind learning Linux deeply, but I also don’t want my notebook turning into a constant maintenance/debugging project.
Would appreciate honest experiences from people who use Arch-based distros professionally.

I thought EndeavourOS only needed around 8 GB of disk space, but my system is currently using 19 GB.
How can I safely clear the cache and unnecessary files to reduce disk usage?
Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

I wanted to ask a question in the community. I've been using Linux for a year, and I've used a lot of things, but I was in doubt about going to endevour os. I'm currently on fedora with kde plasma, but I thought I'd switch to something possibly better.
But, I wanted to know two things: Is daily use something good and stable? Has that issue with AUR packages been resolved yet?
I appreciate if you can answer me and give tips :-)

Is there any browser for EndeavourOS with a Read Aloud feature like Microsoft Edge on Windows?
Extensions are fine too. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Hey, is there anything like Voicemod on Windows that works on EndeavourOS?
I’m looking for a real-time voice changer that works with Discord and games, preferably with different voice effects and a virtual mic.
Any recommendations? Thanks!

Hi!
I'd like a Linux distribution (distro) that I can use to learn about Linux and computers in general, while also being able to use it for daily tasks. After looking at several options, I saw that Endeavour OS might be suitable.
My computer has an i5 9400 2.90GHz CPU, I use the integrated graphics, and I have 8GB of DDR4 RAM. I use an HDD.
I'm studying computer science, and partly because of my degree and largely because of my love for computers, I'd like to learn how a computer works internally, especially Linux (software components, processes, the kernel itself, filesystems, and maybe hardware later on, etc.).
Do you think Endeavour could guide me through this process? In other words, I'd like to use Arch-based distributions to get started with what I mentioned, but without it being too overwhelming from the beginning.
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, it's been 3 months since I completely switched from Windows 11 to Endavor OS on my main laptop (this one : Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9E). So far, i'm happy to have switched but some issues kinda makes me wonder if I did something wrong (mostly the case) or if gaming on Linux still isn't ready. For example, I have heavy lag and crashes on some big titles such as NightReign, Devil May Cry 5, or Metro Exodus. I also have issues on much lighter games such as Dishonored or Disco Elysium. Some games still run flawlessly (Blasphemous, Stardew Valley, Bloodstained, Death Stranding ...). Could someone help me understand why I run in those issues ? I know that some games I have are really good title, but i can't enjoy them the way I want to. Feel free to ask any question you have about my specs or anything, i'll happily provide any bit of info in my possession.
PS : Sorry for my bad english, i'm not a native speaker. I forgot to say that I didn't have any of thos issues on Windows.

Considering moving from Debian to EndeavourOS. From what I understand more recent drivers for my hardware and more up to date software. It will be in my Dell Latitude 5420 i5 11th gen, 32gb of RAM. Thoughts?

In my opinion, EndeavourOS is one of the smoothest Linux distros I’ve ever used.
It feels almost like the macOS of Linux, but it runs incredibly well even on low-end hardware.
I can run EndeavourOS + XFCE smoothly on a Chromebook with only 4GB RAM and 16GB eMMC.
So I’m wondering: can EndeavourOS actually beat macOS in performance and efficiency?
Maybe I’m crazy, but could EndeavourOS become a major Linux distro by 2030?
What do you guys think?

Some people say cachyOs is best arch distro, is it true??
