SOLVED How do i change the language fully?

I am currently using Xfce4 on EndeavourOS. I have set the system language entirely to English, but there are a few places where the changes haven't taken effect. For example, on the panel clock, the numerical time displays in English, but the time-of-day indicators (morning, noon, afternoon, or night) appear in my locale's language. How do I fix the system so that it uses English exclusively?

Edit /etc/locale.gen, uncomment what's needed, comment what's not. Then run:

sudo locale-gen

Log out then log in again. Check if these output anything:

echo $LANGUAGE
echo $LC_MESSAGES
echo $LANG

yes.thank you. the locale-gen file had an extra line inside the last block saying "locales generated by calamares" which is my region locale. commented that part, ran sudo locale-gen and the problem is gone. although i am getting blank outputs for echo $LANGUAGE and ECHO $LC_MESSAGES. most probablly i have manually set the $LC_* values, thats why i am getting blank. and the echo $LANGUAGE is i guess undefined. though getting the en_US.UTF-08 correctly for echo $LANG.

Those are mostly to see if you somehow had those variable overridden somewhere. If they output nothing then you're good.

yes. below is my locale settings.
localectl

System Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8

LC_NUMERIC=en_US

LC_TIME=en_US

LC_MONETARY=en_US

LC_PAPER=en_US

LC_NAME=en_US

LC_ADDRESS=en_US

LC_TELEPHONE=en_US

LC_MEASUREMENT=en_US

LC_IDENTIFICATION=en_US

VC Keymap: us

X11 Layout: us

still i am getting my region locale language on clock.

To clarify: are we talking British english or American english?

the clock panel is using my native languge which is bengali. i dont want to use bengali in anywhere of my system.
