Holy Wow: bill increase

[u/blowingtumbleweed]

I just got the notification from Apple that my price for DisneyPlus annual is moving from $79.99 to $189.99, a full $110 jump. That's crazy! Was I stuck in some time vortex and underpaying for a year or what in the heck happened?

Either you were getting a subsidized annual, or your memory is letting you down.

$79.99 hasn’t been the annual price since December 2022.

My Disney+ has been $79.99 the last few years too.

Must be nice. I wonder why yours has never increased? $80 annually was an excellent value for single individuals. I would have gone up to $120 but $190 is just insane for an app that I only use a few times per month.

Especially now that they’ve started pushing ads on the paid tiers as well.
