This is Dante. Almost nine weeks old Aussie who stole our hearts. He's been with us for three days and I already cannot imagine life without him and his chaos🤍
Edit: Reddit kinda messed the lighting of the first photo :((

Sky (b. January 12, 2012 – d. October 12, 2024)
A year ago, I shared some pictures of Sky here. Some of you might remember him, some might not, but today officially marks two years without my true companion. Time has passed incredibly fast, but I choose to remember him with gratitude for the beautiful life we shared. His story was magically connected to the number 12: born on a 12th, lived for 12 years, passed away on an October 12th, and took his last breath right around 12 PM. A truly perfect number for a perfect friend. I know my good boy is now running free in the stars.

I’ve been dating this guy for a while and I really like him. However, there’s one thing about him that really put me off - he hates dogs. In his words, he “hates animals” in general. Which is weird to me because it’s one thing to be indifferent to animals but to hate them?
He grew up around dogs all his life. I’ve met his family and they all love their current dogs. By no means are they excessively noisy or gross. I could understand if he had some sort of past trauma with dogs but he has nothing of the sort. I’ve mentioned that well-trained, potty trained dogs exist, and if you care for them, they mostly take care of themselves. They don’t really compare to a newborn baby. He thinks they’re a “nightmare” which I think is totally off the mark.
This is disappointing because I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and recently had my own pass. I feel like it would be a major incompatibility for me to NOT have a dog sometimes in the future. It would cause a good amount of resentment for him, so I’m thinking of just breaking up.
How would you handle this?

I’m celebrating our anniversary, but she’s not into it.
Edit to clarify: 7 years together. We’re guessing she is about 12. She’s the love of my life.

My dog, the black one and her bestie play in water all the time so I give her obviously the required rabies and dapp. I also get her the yearly leptospirosis and bordetella. But I just found out that her bestie has never gotten bordetella or lepto. And I spoke to multiple friends who have had 2 or more dogs at a time for last 20 years and they’ve never given them the lepto or bordetella vaccines and they’ve never been sick. I don’t know how to interpret this, to me it’s better to protect your dog with a vaccine than not. But I wanted to see what everyone else is doing.

Hi everyone, my girl, Hazel, has bone cancer. I have set the date for the 26th of this month, I am glad I got to plan it. She is just 3 months shy of 11.
She is a different dog at this point, was really reactive, but not anymore. This is what made my decision feel right. I don't want her to suffer and just be a husk of her formal self. Luckily, I have a great friend group to support me. My job is allowing me to work from home the next 2 weeks, normally only allowed 2 days a week. I have the week of the 26th off.
I want to send my girl off in the best possible way! Any tips or ideas would be appreciated. I haven't been in this position before. This is the dog I got at 22, this is MY dog. I just want to make the next 2 weeks as special as possible. I already feel like I got the night before and day off set. But any Ideas are welcome!
This is the most recent "favorite" picture of my bug.

Tyson has this bump on his lower lip which initially looked white like a pimple and I thought maybe it's because he chews on his bottle and toys but now it's become pink and swollen like this
We've been taking him to the same government vet hospital since he was a puppy and his old doctor was genuinely so sweet but unfortunately he got transferred so today we had to see a new doctor and istg it was such a bad experience
The doctor barely examined him and didn't even touch the bump. He said it could be a tumor and when I asked if we should get some tests done he literally told me there's no need and to just leave it like that. He didn't prescribe anything either and idk what I'm supposed to do with that 😭
Personally I feel like it could be some kind of injury or an infected pimple because initially it was white like how we get pimples and he chews on his bottle too but obviously idk for sure
I'm planning to take him to a private vet now but I'm really worried after hearing the word tumor
Has anyone's dog ever had something similar? What did it turn out to be? And if there are any vets here pls tell me what you think because I really wanna know everyone's opinion. I know nobody can diagnose him through a picture but I'm just worried about my boy :(

I'm dogsitting for a friend, and ofc it sparked the flare of wanting a dog for myself (again). As I'm here, Vola is sleeping, and I'm enjoying her company. She is 6 months, adorable, lovable, she met lots of new friends today.
She's with me till tomorrow, but I did cancel my workout session today, cause I was afraid to leave her alone for about 4 hours. My apartment is small, and I'm afraid she will start chewing on the cables and what not (she hasn't done that at all, it's just my fear).
As someone who would one day like do get a dog, how do you who don't work from home, and live alone, navigate your days? Besides work, I go to the gym (which is a bit further from home) about 3 times a week. One workout skipped - no problem, but seems like a problem in the long run. How do I break that fear?

Anyone else else’s pup spill their food all over the floor and then eat it a piece at a time while laying on the ground with there sister…
My girl has a brilliant yet really irritating habit of lying on anything that can take attention away from her. Lost your phone? It's under the dog. TV remote? Keys? Yep, all under the dog.
Today I wanted a nap post night shift and my eye mask wasn't on the bedside table where I normally leave it. Take a guess where it was...
