I discovered it just this morning, its weird that when I click a link, it opens a new tab instead of just openijg it in the previous one. How do I fix this?(Mobile, iTel a90.)

Hi everybody, I use Chrome with my personal account on my personal Mac. A few months ago I noticed that there's a warning that says "Your browser is run by your organization", but I have no idea about what organization is it and why it says so. I didn't notice any weird things or any red flags in how Chrome works, and the only active extension I have is Google Document offline. I also checked the policies: there's only one policy active, ExtensionInstallForcelist, but I don't know what is it.

Should I be worried? Anybody can tell me what's happening?

None of the options work. I can't open sidebar, I can't type in prompts, what is going on?!

I was getting this annoying Windows popup almost every minute while using Chrome:

"This app can’t run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher.”

I initially suspected Chrome, and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but the issue continued.

Finally, I disabled the McAfee WebAdvisor extension in Chrome, and the popup stopped immediately.

To confirm, I enabled the extension again, and the popup appeared almost instantly. Disabled it again, and it stopped.

So, in my case, McAfee WebAdvisor was the culprit.

Posting this in case someone else runs into the same issue and wastes time troubleshooting Chrome or Windows like I did.

TL;DR: If you keep getting the “This app can’t run on your PC” popup while using Chrome, try disabling McAfee WebAdvisor and see if it stops.

Anytime I search something instead of using the same tab it duplicates it. It's getting really annoying. I tried other browsers, disabled chrome and set a number of other browsers as default. I have no idea what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Or does Google just use “X” as some kind of browser/session label?

All of a sudden the three video downloaders I sometimes use to save YouTube videos have stopped working. 'No downloadable videos found,' or something similar. Any explanations or fixes?

Posting here because most of the help sites claim it's a driver bug and instruct to revert or update GPU drivers.

The bug only happens in maximized or full screen mode on a display rotated 180deg (flipped). When it happens (after maximizing or going full screen) the mouse pointer 'splits' into two: visible, fake one with moves mirrored through the center of the screen from where actual mouse pointer position that is invisible (left is right, up is down). The hidden mouse pointer is where clicks, hover, drag happen. You can clearly see what is going on by enabling mouse locator in windows settings: when pressing CTRL, real mouse cursor appears briefly with circles around it.

If you encounter this: GPU acceleration off or enabling mouse trails fixes the issue. The Canary version does not have this bug.

How to remove the "Stop Sharing" prompt with Remote Desktop on macOS?

I want to remove the " Stop Sharing " prompt on my macOS. As I control my Mac from my pc and i dont want to see the message.

I have had this issue for a few weeks now where Chrome, particularly in Gmail and various forums, will not auto resize images to fit the window, as it had in the past. It doesn't matter whether I am using on my PC or Mac, I tried using a guest profile, I reset all settings, reinstalled Chrome, disabled extensions. I am at a loss. Any help is appreciated.

In every other app in PC mode, the title bar appears by pushing the margins of the app down when you hover over the top. In chrome, for whatever reason, it overlays instead and hides the tabs. So basically ANYTIME I hover over a tab the title bar appears and blocks my view.

Dumbbb. Nothing in my tablet's settings to fix this, anyone seen this or know how to make it stop doing that?

about an old extension that I was once using but got taken off the chrome store. I went and uploaded a clean version on archive for downloading. Not sure if it will work on modern chrome versions, (since I use a vastly superior older version) however I thought I'd put this here then let it float in the wind.

I use an Infinix Hot 60i 5G. I installed a few free blocker apps to stop myself from watching adult content and YouTube Shorts.

The apps work fine at first, but after a few hours, the phone completely shuts them down in the background. Even though I went into the settings and turned on accessibility permissions, the phone keeps turning those permissions off and closing the apps on its own.

I just want these blockers to stay open and keep running all the time without getting killed by the system. Is there any way to stop the phone from turning off these apps and resetting their permissions?

Just yesterday, I started noticing a subtle difference in how images and text appear on Chrome.

A lot of text has a faint outline around it, and many images are not only sharpened but have a lot of JPEG artifacts in them.

If I copy/paste an image in Chrome into my art program and compare it with the exact one on my PC, they are identical, pixel for pixel, which leads me to believe that this is some sharpening filter Chrome has.

If that's the case, then how do I turn it off?

Someone wanted to work in my pc with the desktop chrome but I barely know him and he’s telling me to turn on the camera, he uses different names “Alvin, Joshua, etc for everything, he uses emails with different names and is weird but I don’t know, should I stop working with him or should I trust

There is a recent BUG (it worked before!): if you INSTALL a PWA (webapk) and if you have many different PWAs under the same domain (but in different directories), only the first one installs. Chrome says "already installed" and does not produce the APK, even if every PWA/WEBAPP has different name, and ID. In previous versions it was possible. So there is an big error. Calling const installedRelatedApps = await navigator.getInstalledRelatedApps?.(); gives no answer. (which is correct).

There should be a feature like on Right Click in pop-up model Summarize This Webpage that doesn't create any history like I know other ways ALT+G and Ask Gemini but it is annoying.
