The "genius" or "einstein" visa is just a very well-known nickname. One must still meet extraordinary requiments - which she obviously did not. For example, the Green Card is not a "green card" it's just a nickname for the Permanent Resident Card, issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) as Form I-551.
"TheEinstein visa is a nickname*, not an official visa. Most often it refers to the EB-1A green card for people with extraordinary ability, and sometimes to the O-1 work visa. The name is misleading, because you do not have to be a Nobel-level genius to qualify. The real standard is being among the small percentage at the top of your field, shown either by one major award or by meeting at least three of ten kinds of achievement. Founders, scientists, engineers, artists, and athletes use it. Whether your record qualifies is case-specific, and the name scares off many people who could actually meet the bar.*
We are talking about Melania here, not Cindy Crawford.
If if by some incredible stretch of logic you would include a fashion model in the EB-1A, where was Melaina of the top of that class, even on her best days? She was a cheap escort/hostess who posed for nude photos.

The logic is the law as written.
No one's defending MT here, so no one cares about your personal feelings.
I'm asking what the legal standard is. What magazines qualify, what pages, what locations of billboards, what renumeration, etc.
Even if they tried to paint a rosy picture of her moderate carrier, she still reached a certain level (Sports Illustrated, British GQ, Times Square) and you need a proper reasoning what's enough and what's not.
Legally you are possibly correct that with the right lawyers and a strong vouching (she was publically dating Trump) she could have got the visa in 2000-2001. I was looking at current standards and certain loopholes were closed in 2010.
Trump was deeply connected with "modeling" executives at the time, including ones who brought her to the US. They could have easily been what got her over the finish line.
