I didn’t know until I actually had several laying hens (Rhode Island Reds) how lovely they are.

They have a lot of personality and are curious and silly and fun if you engage with them regularly and treat them like pets.

I fell in love with my chickens.

But they are not super bright.

I find their stupidity charming, it's very reptillian and I love reptiles.
