Nice technique. With a little more variety it would be more convincing, because these knotholes all have the same pattern.

That was my issue with it. Wood has variety in its patterns and grain, and there really isn’t much variety here.

And there's too many of them, cut the number of knotholes down a bit, and it would look way more believable. Although I personally like the look of it with all the knotholes, kinda funky, and trippy looking sorta. It'd definitely be even cooler if there was some variety to them.
