I once went to HEB on Super Bowl Sunday as game started thinking I was finally going to avoid the crowd. Went to the one on Riverside… realized that crowd watches a different football so they were still shopping.

Its funny because if i drive 8 miles away from the pflugerville location, they actually don’t give you plastic bags because “this is technically austin and we only use recyclable bags”
Then i go to my own HEB and plastic bags everywhere

Yep, Lakeline HEB is fully Austin. HMart...I want to say they opened up after all the bag stuff went down and didn't have to do it. (Didn't the Gov or Leg take offense to the Austin ordinance and essentially roll it back, but businesses in some cases chose to keep doing the reusable bag thing on their own in certain locations? It's been a hot minute and my memory ain't what it used to be.)
But yeah, HMart is great for getting the plastic bags if you use them as trash bin liners.

Over the course of months, I bought and tried every shelf-stable salsa at HEB (maybe, I might have missed some, I didn't keep exact records) and the winner is the HEB brand garlic chipotle.
