Applications

My iPhone says a lot of my storage is being taken up by applications what does this mean? How can I minimize this?

Uninstall applications

If you have an iPhone you can see exactly* how much memory each application is consuming. It could be that just one or two applications account for the majority. One potential candidate may be a streaming app such as Netflix that allows you to download a video to watch offline - it’s easy to forget you ever did this and that video might be sitting around using 1GB+ for no reason.

*who knows how accurate this is?

Uninstall what you dont need... and or remove pictures and music.

The problem is it just says applications it doesn’t say which specific app it is 🫩

no doubt one could get an app to tell you where and how the space is being used..

Applications = Apps.

Go to Settings, then iPhone Storage, then scroll down the page. You might have to click on the blue text above the list to give you a descending list of app sizes, or Last Used Date to see what you don’t use.
