Discussion PvE trivialising the game

Managed to Get my research station from 1->4 (had frigate part from last week only) and fully build out the outpost, all in around 2 hours today.

The tension has gone and so has the sense of achievement, all feels a bit pointless to just blast through maps without a care in the world. This isn't the game I bought.

Decided to go back to normal modes and now those are all KOS (i've traditionally been in mixed), so looks like the player base is splitting as people predicted.

Not sure where to go from here, but i'll leave feedback to Embark at the end of this. Anyone else feeling the same?

Just... dont PvE mode then? I don't get the problem.

They’re lamenting their “mixed” lobbies where they could reliably ambush and kill people that were trying to run contracts, fight Arc or otherwise just enjoy the game. The complainers don’t like being hunted down and slaughtered by PvP demons any more than the Care Bears they mock.

i like to play with the tension that i don’t know how players will act in any encounter. it gives a reason to be careful with movement around the map and forces you to be aware of your surroundings, and makes the friendly encounters special and memorable. now there’s none of that, i can’t take any chances trying to make allies with other raiders and the social aspect that made the game special is gone.

It’s wild how you guys that constantly lament the loss of your “mixed” lobbies can never seem to find each other in the game

The mixed lobbies were literally the whole point of Arc Raiders. The tension of not knowing if someone was friendly or not, the unpredictability. Arc loses what once made it unique with this change.
