I have delivered over 10,000 packages for Amazon Flex.
Now, Amazon is completely soft locking my account because I did one thing.
I moved.
Back in 2023 I started driving for Amazon flex and shortly after that I moved to a large city in 2024 and drove there for one year. After that year I moved about 1,700 miles away. There was not an Amazon flex program in my new town, but there was rumors that one was in the works.
After a while the news came out that Amazon was building a warehouse here and that this will include Amazon Flex. I was so happy because I wanted to make extra income again and I had driven so much for Amazon flex.
I called the support to have my region changed, but there was one problem… I wasn’t Level 2 anymore.
The driver support agent let me know that he could not switch my region because I wasn’t Level 2 anymore BUUUUTTTTTT he told me that I could MAKE A NEW ACCOUNT FOR THE NEW REGION AND HAVE THE OLD DELETED.
I made a new account (I KNOW THIS IS BAD BUT THEY TOLD ME TO DO IT) and registered for the waitlist for my area. I also asked that my old account be deleted. Then I get the message that there spots available and started my onboarding for that account. I was able to do everything except for the background check because my social security number was already in the system. After this I started contacting support to fix this error because at the time I didn’t know what was going on. That went on for like 1 month just to get people in driver support to understand what the issue even was. That ended with them telling me that it was in fact against the Terms of Service to create another account.
After this, I started trying to have them let me move my region from my old region to the new one. However, I just repeatedly got the exact same response: “You have to be rewards level 2.” Some people told me that I would need to go back to my original region and work to get level 2 so I could switch my region. You mean the region which is FUCKING 1700 MILES AWAY?! I do not understand why Amazon would have a policy like this. Why not make it after a certain number of packages delivered you can change your zone? I have had support agents tell me “Well is it Amazon’s fault that you got married and moved to somewhere where there wasn’t Amazon Flex?” BROTHER, IS IT MY FAULT THERE WASN’T FUCKING AMAZON FLEX HERE?!
It just goes to show that no matter how hard you work for Amazon, they will never give a shit about you and will fuck you over with no hesitation.
