A dark film on my 1 month old plum wine

Post image

I took a look at my plum wine and there was a thin solid film on top. I took a sterile swab and pulled the film out. Any ideas what happened? Everything else is fine in terms of smell and look. There may be a light yellow haze on the glass near that spot but I could just be seeing things.

Hi. You just posted an image to r/winemaking. All image posts need a little bit of explanation now. If it is a fruit wine post the recipe. If it is in a winery explain the process that is happening. We might delete if you don't. Thanks.

Isn't this the sorbitol? I understand that gums up inthe fermenter. At any rate, if everything still smells fine then it's fine.

That little dark chunk looks like a bit of fruit pulp that floated up and dried out, had almost same thing with my plum batch.
