Discussion One more loom π«£π
In addition to the loom in my previous post I am also getting this small jacquard loom for weaving small things like traditional Lithuanian sashes (one is on the loom in the photos)

As someone who has their first inkle loom coming in today, this contraption has a strong Frankenstein (Frankenweaving?) vibe to me! That sash is stunning though!

Congrats on your inkle loom! π₯°
When I saw this loom at first it looked like a torture device to me π π π

Thatβs so cool! Iβve only used homemade cardboard looms or looms made out of picture frames and nails. This looks like some sort of medieval torture device haha I love it

Is this loom one of a kind or is there a manufacturer? When you get it up and running, a short video would be appreciated.

To be honest with you - I have no idea :) Iβve seen quite a few similar looms like this one in Lithuania. I believe they are all quite old, from soviet times, but I cannot say who was the maker. When I get them - I will try to get more info :)

Iβve seen regular size Jacquard looms and they are huge. This loom is intriguing.

Wow! What a find! Geared take-up and fly shuttle, too - wow!
I had the opportunity to work on an old industrial jacquard when I was in school, including cutting my own cards. It was a blast!
It's so satisfying when all the work comes together and the fabric magic happens.
