Discussion / Question ¿games involving intricate 3d mazes / complicated directional orientating?

What videogames present 3-dimensional landscapes that involve substantive complexity and density, and perhaps literal twists and turns such as in a catacomb or many-story large explorable building, requiring player to pay attention to the maps availed and possible/confirmed routes? It could involve rather open terrain as well if implemented accordingly; such as topology and geometry abstract (away from standard euclidean), and generative terrain that might't be ever-permanent beyond some distance away, in addition to placing ample structures (permanent and transient) and contours unto the terrain.

For sure the landscape itself is distorted so what should be a simple path may lead just about anywhere and the traversal abilities let you literally flip the world and your orientation around not only in the larger open world but there are numerous dungeon like areas where the way forward may be figuring out what combo of flying grappling or walking on the ceiling gets you to a new area or the plethora of secrets and side quests. The maps themselves aren't as useful as looking around and truly thinking about how use the environment to your advantage. Unlike a lot of games with yellow paint or scent trails the world and subtle hints make it so you just gotta try some things and hope you thought it through properly. For example if you run up a wall and end up on the ceiling you may need to sprint of a ledge and fly until the orientation flips back and the platform you need that was above you is now right where it needs to be. This wasn't really part of your question but traversing an apartment complex with broken physics that turn it into a tunneled maze with remedy's trademark musical flair was one of the most surreal gaming moments I've had and the first control is very similar if you haven't played it
