“Losing a rock is better than never having a rock.”
As a lifelong Victor Hugo fan, I ate this game up, cried just about every time they wanted me to, and replayed until I got level 33 on all my pictos. Admittedly it was the music that made me stay, but the characters pulled me in, and the themes are 100% humanistic. This game made people ask questions, and it made them choose a side—and I think it was on purpose that neither choice is perfect, and that it intentionally asks us to disagree with each other. Discourse is human. Misunderstanding will always beget war, whether the front is as large as an ocean or as small as a broken home. And when one falls… we continue.
