P3R was such a slog at times and I’m so glad I pushed through. The ending just hurts everytime. I couldn’t find myself to play the dlc just from fatigue of the game but also just…needing a bit.
Yeah I was trying to finish it in time for Control Resonant, but before that I was definitely feeling some fatigue. I'll go back for the DLC at some point
I played p3r for 250+ hours and beat the game four times (4 base game+1 episode aigis) this said i still cried on 10/4 everytime and the ending got me every time. Persona fames are the most impactful games ill ever play.
You just continue playing, Persona games are very long games that take their time. Though P3R is more infamous as it takes sometime. It’s worth going through, I know this series isn’t for everyone due to that fact.
Persona 3 reload or persona 5 royal are the more common starting choices . Persona 3 has a heavy story with intense topics and more psychological setting. P5 is a more intense dungeon clearing fighting style game afaik
I recommend Persona 5 Royal or Persona 3 Reload or wait for Persona 4 Revival. Really any that has your interest, you don’t need to play them in order. But I think P5R is a great beginning choice!
Persona 3 is one of the things that came to mind for me too. Game dragged on way too long and wasn’t always that well written but goddamn that ending hit hard.
Yea, Persona 3 definitely suffers from being the first game with the calendar system so you definitely tell they haven’t got the pacing down! 4 and 5 improved on it and now I can’t wait for Persona 6!

Persona 3 Reload and Red dead redemption 2 come to mind.
