Honestly for me it's Life is Strange: True Colors. Love that game to death, an incredible story and soundtrack, but it seems like a story that just doesn't vibe well with a lot of people. Listen to the soundtrack though, absolutely increible.

This game is literally the definition of the, "best worst game." So many people use the phrase wrong. They use it for games with awesome, interesting mechanics. Or games that do everything perfectly except respect your time.

But Shadow the Hedgehog? It does nothing good, like at all. It's over the top edginess is even terribly done, but holy shit does the amalgamation of bad somehow make a fucked up orchestral masterpiece of, "I just have to keep playing."

(I played through the game like 4 times at completely different points in my life and I both do and don't regret it )

Yup. I can't remember anything actually good about it but I completed all the challanges, unlocked all the endings multiple times, etc.

I think this is a game we can truly award "cult classic" status.

I'm not familiar with Shadow 2005, but search/replace it to Sonic 2006 and that would still sound entirely correct.

Holy shit, just gave me a blast from the past watching my brother play this game. I enjoyed watching him play other games but I haaated shadow the hedgehog

Crush 40's music was honestly one of the best parts of any given Sonic game of the 2000s-early 2010s. Sometimes it was the only thing keeping the clunky-at-best gameplay from ruining them.

Shadow the Hedgehog is a great game as long as you liberally abuse the "skip cutscene" button. Fun to play, story is a hot mess.
