Moved from Bedfordshire to Northamptonshire with a live application.

Hi all, looking for some advice and im not quite sure what to do. I have moved from bedfordshire to northamptonshire but have a live application with beds police for my FAC and SGC combined since Feb 2025. i have had no response - im aware of the long wait time.

I have contacted both Northamptonshire and bedfordshire about the situaiton im in but still no response. Am i better off just biting the bullet (pardon the pun) and starting my application again with Northants, joining the back of the line again - and then getting a charge back from my bank for the Bedfordshire application?

I think you should, yes. As you know, the Bedfordshire backlog is awful and their response times are terrible. Northamptonshire is supposed to be much better.

I put in a coterminous SGC/FAC application with Northamptonshire a couple of months ago - the paperwork was approved within a couple of weeks and I was contacted this morning about the home visit. I don't have it yet, of course, but I'm encouraged by the response so far.

It might mean you may have to redo your GP proforma, though, which isn't ideal...

Well I got my answer- Northamptonshire came back to me and I’ll need to put a brand new application in, contact Bedfordshire and request a refund
