NRA Membership Delays?

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue I have put in a membership application to join the NRA four months ago and apparently they are still awaiting on police checks to come back, is anyone else experiencing the same delays?

Police checks are taking longer than normal at the moment, as they've got a large backlog and not enough staff. Membership at the NRA UK are pretty on the ball, so if theyve not heard back yet then the police will still be a bit sadly

It's rather frustrating as I applied four months ago and still haven't even been processed. I'm looking to leave the area soon so it might be all for nothing

Sorry to hear that. The NRA are running a guest day on 24th October, aimed primarily at younger people, that may be of interest?

I'm 5 months and waiting. More impressivly they managed to take payment as I'd done it online. Same wait with police checks

Yes. Took 6 months. And they charged me the £90 joining fee and then because it’s the end of the calendar year it’s the next year membership fee right away. Annoying.

Time it so your membership starts in Jan so you get the year at the discount rate.

Not sure why I joined. BASC insurance is better and the cost of booking lanes at weekends is horrific
